For some, 2020 was a distressing year with worst news surrounding them, for some, it was the best one. Miheeka Bajaj and Rana Daggubati belong to the second category as despite 2020 forced them to plan a union that is more intimate and low-key than a star-studded big fat wedding, the couple happily embraced the situation and said ‘I Do’ in a beautiful affair. It was in May 2020 when South superstar, Rana Daggubati had broken millions of hearts by introducing his fiancée, Miheeka Bajaj on social media with a ‘she said yes’ post. Finally, in August, Miheeka and Rana had tied the knot in a themed but intimate wedding ceremony. For the main day, Miheeka had swooned us in Anamika Khanna lehenga which was beautifully adorned in zardozi, chikankari, and gold metalwork and the handmade outfit had reportedly taken 10,000 hours to make. Rana had complemented his bride in a traditional mundu and kurta.
Close to five months into marriage, Miheeka Bajaj and Rana Daggubati have been delighting their fans with beautiful glimpses of their married life. As the couple stepped into 2021 as husband and wife, Miheeka posted a twinning in black picture with Rana and captioned it as “A very happy new year to everyone!! 2020 brought us luck, love and oodles of happiness! Contrary to popular opinions 2020 has been the best year of my life! Thank you @ranadaggubati my love! Only upwards and on wards from here! May this year bring everyone just as much light and life it has brought us! It’s the new year!!!”
Every 'first' post-wedding is special for a newly-wedded couple and the celebrations are high on fervour and love. Similar was Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s first Dussehra post-wedding which they had celebrated with the Bajaj family. For the Dussehra celebrations, Miheeka had looked resplendent in a purple saree paired with an off-white blouse which she had accessorised with traditional jewellery. To mark Karwa Chauth 2020, though Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj had posted nothing from the celebrations, her mother, Bunty Bajaj had posted the much-awaited glimpse of the couple’s festive special look. Dressed in a red saree with a statement necklace, earrings and a nath accentuating her look, Miheeka had posed for a happy picture with Rana, who complemented her in casual wear. Bunty Bajaj had captioned the picture as "Happy Karwa Chauth. God bless."
On their first Christmas as husband and wife, Miheeka Bajaj had given a glimpse of her holiday season with her ‘mine’, Rana Daggubati. As Miheeka and Rana had posed with their Christmas tree, their festive looks had stolen our hearts. While had Rana kept up with the festive spirit in an all-red outfit, Miheeka had looked gorgeous as always in a grey and red top paired with white denim. The lovebirds had twinned in reindeer headbands. Miheeka had captioned her post as “Merry Christmas from me and mine! @ranadaggubati #merrychristmas #tistheholidayseason #decembering.”
In a post-wedding interview with Neha Dhupia for her show, #NoFilterWithNeha, Rana Daggubati had revealed how he met Miheeka Bajaj and thrown some light on their timeline of love. Rana had said, "I know Miheeka for a very long time because my sister and she went to school together. So, I’ve known her pretty much all my life and there’s only a handful of people who move from Hyderabad to Bombay. So, we got talking during lockdown and I said okay, this is right and that’s about it. So, when good things happen, I don’t question too much, I just go. Everyone’s got a timeline, it’s okay.
