On June 23, 2022, Mika Singh shared a video clip on his Instagram handle from the show, Mika Di Vohti, wherein his friend, Divyanka Tripathi came as a guest and introduced a new task to the contestants. In the video, Divyanka can be heard saying:
"You will get a lot of opportunities to go on dates with Mika paji. But why not do something more instant, because this is the time when everything that is instant works, be it instant noodles or instant messaging. So, you should try speed-dating… All you have to do is win his heart jaldi jaldi."
As soon as she talked about the task, Mika's to-be-brides reacted differently. While some were very enthusiastic about it, a few felt awkward as they had never done this before. Sharing the video, Mika penned a note in the caption that can be read as:
“Guys I have never heard of speed-dating, but my dear Divyanka Tripathi gave some valuable tips to all my dulhaniyas! Witness this newest form of dating on #mikadivohti.”

Earlier, in a candid conversation with ETimes, Mika had talked about his show, Swayamvar and had mentioned that he has no problem if the girls have come to marry him for his name and fame. Reflecting on the same, Mika had shared:
"All the girls coming on the show, they know they are coming to be my life partner. They know who I am and that I am an established name. They will obviously come for my name, fame and there's nothing wrong in it. Everyone wants to marry someone who is well to do and settled, even parents also look for a bride or groom who is well settled in life, nobody wants their kids to marry a struggler. Girls usually wish to marry a person who is self made and can take care of her and her family. Agar woh ye soch ke aata hai I don't have a problem at all. It depends on me, how I want to be with them."
For the unversed, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti is hosted by popular singer, Shaan.
