B-town’s beloved ‘Bhai’, Salman Khan has been dealing with tough times over the past few weeks. The actor lost a dear friend, dealt with the news that he was partially responsible for it, and faced one death threat after another. The threats are believed to have come from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who have had an ongoing tiff with the star since 1998 when he was accused of shooting a blackbuck. Recently, though, singer Mika Singh came forward to extend his support for his friend, Salman Khan, during a live performance.
Salman Khan and Mika Singh have had a strong relationship both on and off sets, as the singer has frequently lent his voice to the actor’s films. Hit songs like Jumme Ki Raat and Dhinka Chika from Salman’s movie all feature Mika’s powerful vocals. Well, at a recent live show, Mika performed his popular number Ganpat from the movie, Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Mika dedicated the song to Salman and also took a moment to address the threats and showcase his support for the actor. Mika strongly stated that he would stand by Salman no matter who opposed him. He further said that Salman could reach out to him whenever he was in trouble because no matter where he went, everyone feared Mika’s name. In his words:
“Salman Khan ke liye ek line hai, ‘Bhai hu mein bhai, tu fikar na kar.’”

However, other users rebuked Mika for being stupid and making himself a target when real danger was involved. One user commented, “And we know the reason if we don't see him again ever.” Another commenter wrote, “Kyu Lorrence bhai se dushmani mol le rhe.”
For the unversed, Salman Khan first landed himself on Lawrence Bishnoi’s hitlist when he was accused of killing two blackbucks. The incident allegedly took place while the actor was filming Hum Saath Saath Hain in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. But it is worth noting that Salman has never been charged with the crime.
Nevertheless, the idea of someone killing a blackbuck is extremely offensive to the Bishnoi community to which Lawrence Bishnoi belongs. They view the deer as a reincarnation of their spiritual guru, Jambheshwar.
Salman and the Mumbai police seem to be taking the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s threats seriously. The star’s security has been heightened to the Y+ category, and his residences are being heavily guarded. However, Salman has not let the ongoing tension get in the way of his professional commitments as he resumes shooting for Bigg Boss 18.
