Mira Kapoor Once Got ANGRY On Being Called 'Star Wife', 'Nobody Says Star Husband..', Netizens React

Mira Kapoor is known for her witty take on life as a star wife and choosing to be a homemaker at the young age of twenty. However, with fame came a lot of scrutiny, and envious people waiting for her to fall and make a mistake. But Mira kept her calm, held her head high, swiftly dived into the world of glamour, and made her own place as an entrepreneur with her own skincare label, Akind. Recently, we stumbled upon an old video when Mira looked infuriated at being called 'star wife'.

Mira Kapoor once slammed an interviewer for calling her 'star wife'

Recently, we stumbled upon a video of Mira Kapoor from her appearance on the show, Social Media Star With Janice. She was sitting on a sofa with Punjabi rapper, Badshah. The video started with Mira questioning the interviewer about 'star wife', and went on to state that how a man, who is married to an actress is never called star husband. Talking her heart out, Mira said:

"I have never understand the concept of being a star wife. What does that mean? You can have an actor or a celebrity or a star, who has a wife or a husband, nobody says 'Star Husband'. Why is there a 'star wife'? It's, I don't even pay attention to it."

Well, the host of the show, Janice, looked impressed and agreed with Mira's stance. On the other hand, Badshah also seemed highly impressed with the way Mira narrated the whole scenario of being a 'star wife' and no one calling a man a 'star husband'. 

As soon as the video was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, users rushed to share their opinion. One user wrote, "Mira’s whole identity is being married to a star, otherwise what relevance does she have. How many spouses of stars are constantly on social media giving interviews?"

Another one gave Madhuri's husband's example and dismissed Mira's claim, and commented, "They do? What do you think Madhuri’s husband was called? Also due to being a worker in a professional field, he still garnered another name, Dr. Nene. Issue with most star wives is that they’ve got no careers of their own. You wouldn’t be called a star wife if you had your own career, even if it was less famous than your husband’s. Even though Jaya was a bigger star when she married Amitabh. Amitabh went onto become an absolute behemoth, she was never relegated to star wife cause she still has her own standing. Mira is a star wife cause the only reason she’s known or famous is due to her husband."

A third user penned how star husband don't go out for interviews every month, and penned, "Star Husbands mostly aren't out there for Interviews with Bollywood Portals and Most of them have strong position of themselves such that they don't need their wives names to be known atleast in their field... Also that's the reason Star actress married them in the first place."

Last year, Mira Kapoor launched her own skincare label, Akind. It is available on Tira Beauty, which is the brainchild of Isha Ambani. Mira has also come with her wellness centre in Mumbai. According to the official website, Mira's Dhun Wellness offers treatments such as Holistic Body Therapies, Regenerative Facials, Ayurvedic Healing, Recovery & Longevity, and Healing Therapies. However, it has not yet officially launched, and Mira has only done its puja with her family.
