The times when your dad used to sweetly cajole you into making chai for him or how you would annoy him during his sacrosanct news time. The times when a champi from your mom would beat away your blues and how she would rush into the kitchen to satiate your odd-hour cravings. The times when they would take you out on a mini-getaway just to cheer you up and the traditional weekend film and dinner outings, for which you would wait for the whole week. The list is endless when it comes to the things that a girl misses after her wedding. And when she gets to relive the moments with her parents, the happiness knows no bounds. Post-wedding, Mira Rajput Kapoor makes sure that she celebrates some special occasions with her parents too, and if she cannot, then she surely pens her feelings for them every now and then on her social media profile. On September 24, 2020, Mira relived her Delhi memories from her bachelorette days with her parents, Vikram Rajput and Bela Rajput. Mira prepared for a shawarma night with her parents and cooked the meal herself. In her caption, Mira recalled her visits to Select CITYWALK, Delhi, with her parents.
Elaborating on the details of the homemade food she had prepared for her parents, Mira Rajput Kapoor wrote, “Shawarma Night with the Parents Paneer Filling with a homemade spice rub, Smokey hummus and a yummy garlic yoghurt sauce and a salad wrapped up in the humble whole wheat roti (I use Khapli wheat from @twobrothersorganicfarmsindia) The salad is a simple chopped salad with the addition of homegrown mint, olives and dried cranberries that just arrived from a local vendor in Kashmir. I tried my hand at a hot sauce which wasn’t quite fiery enough for my taste. Next time more chilli! This brought back memories of a takeaway falafel place the three of us used to visit atleast once a week at Select Citywalk in Delhi after our intense spin class. Their yoghurt sauce was just YUM. We definitely worked up an appetite going into the meal, and carried forward the burn required for the next class! #familynight.” (Also Read: Mira Rajput Kapoor Cooks A Yummy Cuisine From The Beans Which Misha And Zain Plucked From A Tree)
