Mira Rajput Kapoor Finally Breaks Silence On Being Trolled For Her Acting Debut In A TV Commercial

Since the nation’s heart-throb Shahid Kapoor announced his marriage to a Delhi-based non-industry girl, Mira Rajput, a lot has been discussed about the latter and she has faced the shutterbug with full confidence. While some showered love on Mira just like they’ve loved Shahid, some just love to hate her! But, despite everything, Shahid and Mira are now one of the ‘it’ couples of B-town. (Also Read: Mira Rajput Talks About Her Pregnancy, Says Hubbby Shahid Soothes Her Midnight Foot Cramp)

Initially, Mira was criticized for her statements about feminism and working women, who put career over their children. And in midst sharing her insights on the same, she had said, “I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and then rush off to work. Why did I have her then? She is not a puppy. I want to be there for her as a mother. Seeing her grow up cannot be quantified." She received a lot of backlash on social media for her insensitive comment and belittling working women.

Mira Rajput Kapoor is currently in her third semester and the couple is expecting their second child in October. While women go through constant body changes, and their moods and cravings have its own share of concerns during and after the 9 months, women tend to forget to take care of themselves. In an attempt to remind them of it, Mira collaborated with Olay on a commercial and stepped into the showbiz world with her first TV ad.

Mira shared her commercial on her social media handle, and captioned it, “Being a mother doesn’t mean you stop being yourself right? I took the #Olay #SkinTransformation #28Daychallenge Here’s my #Reborn story.. what’s yours? @olayindia”. While her husband, Shahid Kapoor was lovestruck with her commercial and commented on her post, “Who’s this stunner”, some people targeted her with the demeaning comments claiming that she is too young to do an anti-ageing cream advertisement. (Also Read: Mira Rajput Kapoor Gets Trolled For Her Debut TV Commercial Which Focuses On Skin Transformation)

In an interview with Times Now, when Mira Rajput Kapoor was asked about being trolled for the commercial, she retorted, “The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It's not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel.”

She went on to say, “It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad.” Mira further shared nervousness while shooting for the ad, and said, “I won't lie, I was very nervous because doing an ad was completely out of my comfort zone. But I think what put me at ease was the nature of the ad, which was very conversational with real experiences. It was something I have already been through. I felt that I was just talking about something that I have gone through myself and from my own point of view. The natural synergy put me at ease.” (Also Read: Shahid Kapoor's Pregnant Wife Mira Rajput Kapoor Reveals She Wants A Boy Or A Girl)

In the video, Mira talked about the pregnancy experience she had with Misha, and revealed, “Being a mother, it’s beautiful. I still remember holding Misha in my arms for the first time. It was magical. It brought Shahid and me even closer. I have always been a very hands-on mom, so you tend to forget yourself as a woman. The stress the sleepless nights, my pregnancy glow just vanished. My skin became dull and patchy. So, when Misha’s birthday was just a month away, I knew I had to do something." She said that even Shahid noticed the changes in her skin and asked her about her secret.

In an interview with Vogue, Mira was asked when she saw her pre-baby glow coming in. To which, she replied, “I think I knew I was pregnant right from when I noticed the “glow”. So not very far into my first trimester. I think it’s got a lot to do with how one is feeling, and I was just so happy from within that it showed. And I think now with Olay I have a way to maintain it even after I deliver.”

When further asked about the best post-pregnancy skincare tips she would like to share with other to-be-mothers, she remarked, “The best tip is one I have got from my mother—who I believe has always had beautiful skin, and has been able to maintain it right up to today—and that is to eat well. I think with so much information available to us on the internet, we forget what we’ve been told by our mothers and grandmothers. For example, the importance of the diet in the first 40 days post-delivery. Everything we are given to eat, despite sounding “fattening” or “outdated” are all given to us for a reason; to regain our strength and to maintain it so we can feed and look after the baby. The ghee, milk, pinjiri and halwa helps nourish the new mother’s skin and body, and bring the glow back from within. Care for yourself from the inside and it will show on the outside.” (Also Read: Mommy-To-Be Sania Mirza Is Enjoying Her Last Days Of Pregnancy, Shares Her Diet And Health Regimes)
