It was five years back when Shahid Kapoor had broken the hearts of millions when he had tied the knot with a Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput. With Mrs Kapoor's first few glimpses from her life-before-becoming-an-overnight-sensation and the wedding, we can recall how Mira always had the girl-next-door sensibility when it comes to her sartorial picks. Mira Rajput Kapoor loves digging in her wedding archives and delighting her fans with unseen pictures from her marriage with the heartthrob of B-town. Sharing a just-before-the-wedding picture, Mira gave an important tip to all the brides-to-be. Dressed in her pastel-coloured outfit for the Gurudwara wedding, Mira could be seen enjoying some self-pampering as she sat on the sofa before exchanging the vows and got her legs massaged. Mira captioned her post as "Before you take the most important steps of your life, make sure your feet are well taken care of #whynot."
Though it has been five years, but the memories of Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor's wedding are still fresh in our minds. Especially the first time when Shahid had come out to pose for the paparazzi with Mrs Kapoor. The 21-year-old Delhi girl had made us fall in love with the pastel lehengas when she had picked a blush-hued Anamika Khanna bridal ensemble ditching the traditional red outfit. Mira Rajput Kapoor's designer, Anamika Khanna had revealed, in an interview with the Vogue, that it was a collaboration of ideas between her and the bride. Anamika had stated, “Mira’s wedding lehenga was a collaboration of ideas between her and me. She was very clear that she wanted something gentle and more pastel, nothing that would devour her. At the same time, Mira has a subtle classic taste. Following that guideline, we developed the pink pastel lehenga.”

Elaborating on Mira Rajput Kapoor's lehenga and the details, Anamika Khanna had explained that it came with a short-sleeved blouse and beautifully embroidered skirt which the bride had styled with not one but two dupattas, one draped as a saree and one tulle dupatta covering her head. Anamika had continued, “This lehenga is an amalgamation of exquisite artisanship and centuries-old design. It featured embedded 3D flowers, pearls, floral embroidery with French knots and interwoven delicate zardozi work. With the help of 67 artisans, it took us about 48 days to make Mira’s bridal lehenga.”
On Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor's fifth wedding anniversary, the latter had posted two unseen pictures from the ceremonies. Mira had posted a grateful post with an unseen picture from her Gurudwara wedding and had simply captioned it with "Gratitude" followed by heart and folding hands emojis.
In her next post, Mira Rajput Kapoor had wished Shahid Kapoor on their anniversary and had shared an unseen picture from their sangeet ceremony. Reminding Shahid of the 'three golden words', Mira's fun and loving anniversary caption can be read as "5 years, 4 souls, 3 homes, 2 babies and 1 beautiful family. There’s nobody I’d rather be on this journey called life than you my love. I fall in love with you more every day. And I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have the love of my life be my best friend. Thank you for everything, for being my strength and for walking through everything together, hand in hand. I love you. You make me laugh like no one else. And more often than not I’m laughing at you. Please don’t forget. Wife is always right.
