Misha Agrawal's Family Reveals Cause Behind Her Demise At 24, 'She Became Overwhelmed And Took..'

Internet has been mourning the demise of young starlet, Misha Agrawal, who passed away on April 24, 2025, just two days before her 25th birthday. Known for her sharp wit, relatable rants, and sarcastic content, she was popular among youth. However, fans were left concerned when she stopped posting videos after April 4, 2025, and the shocking news about her demise left her fans heartbroken. Many fans felt it was some promotional stunt or a prank, while others were curious about what happened with Misha. Amid the possible theories made by netizens, Misha's sister, Mukta, had assured fans that they would soon share the cause behind her untimely demise. Finally, a while ago, Misha's family shared a statement to reveal the cause behind her death. 

Misha Agrawal's family reveals she was depressed and took her own life 

Initially, the cause of Misha Agrawal's death was not announced. But, recently, her family took to her Instagram handle on April 30, 2025, and shared a note to disclose the cause behind her untimely death along with a screenshot of her phone wallpaper which reflected her desire for growth on social media. Sharing a deeply personal statement, her brother-in-law revealed that Misha was dealing with depression stemming from her decreasing followers on social media. To be precise, she wanted to achieve 1 million follower mark. He penned:

"My little baby sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with the goal of reaching 1 million followers and gaining loving fans. When her followers started decreasing, she became distraught and felt worthless. Since April, she had been deeply depressed, often hugging me and crying, saying, 'Jijja, what will I do if my followers decrease? My career will be over. I tried to console her, explaining that this isn't her entire world, it's just a side job, and if it doesn't work out, it's not the end."

Misha's family tried hard to make her realise about her different talents, including her Law degree which she pursued with a dream to become a judge one day. However, the content creator who made Instagram her world while studying in class 11th felt her career was over. Her brother-in-law mentioned that he advised her not to take Instagram or its follower count seriously, but Misha was affected to such a level that she took her own life. Sharing the heartbreaking news, he wrote:

"I advised her to view Instagram as mere entertainment and not let it consume her. I urged her to focus on her happiness and let go of anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, my little sister didn't listen and became so consumed by Instagram and followers that she left our world forever. Tragically, she became so overwhelmed that she took her own life, leaving our family devastated."

Misha Agrawal'a's family announced her demise through an official IG post 

After no social media activity was done on Misha Agrawal's Instagram handle for twenty days, her family shared a shocking note announcing her demise at the age of 24. In the official note, they shared the update about her death and expressed gratitude to her followers for showing her immense support during the past few years. At the same time, they requested for privacy to process the loss of their family member. They penned:

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of Misha Agrawal's passing. Thank you all for the love and support you showed her and her work. We are still trying to come to terms with this immense loss. Please keep her in your thoughts and continue to carry her spirit in your hearts."

Misha Agrawal was born on April 26, 2000, and pursued a degree in Integrated Law. She was a well-known content creator who used to share rant and sarcasm videos on her social media which became popular among youth for being relatable. Misha gained nearly 358K million followers on Instagram and 21.3K lakh subscribers on YouTube. At the same time, she started her haircare bran, Mish Hair. According to an interview with RJPL India, Misha began making content in 2017. She recalled that while pursuing her class 11 exams, she was ditched by her friends and loneliness engulfed her. In that darkness, Instagram bought a light to help her express herself and tackle loneliness. Despite initial self-doubt and low self-esteem, Misha thrived, and her family supported her. In her words:

"I felt alone, and content creation gave me so many new people, the online audience that doesn't know me but treats me like I am their world. Those same friends now feel that I am their friend. We often consider our parents to be not so tech-savvy, but my mother introduced me to YouTube, and everyone in my family has always been supportive."
