Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding festivities were the highlights of 2024. The entire world waited to see glimpses of the royal Indian wedding, which hosted influential businessmen, politicians across the world and famous faces from Bollywood and Hollywood. Now, we stumbled upon a mixologist, Atilla Iskif's first hand experience while attending the famous guest at the pre-wedding party of Anant and Radhika.
Recently, in an interview with The Free Press Journal, Atilla Iskif, who is one of world's famous bartender, lighted up the pre-wedding party of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, which took place in Jamnagar. Atilla was asked to share a great memory from the Ambani's celebration. To which, Atilla revealed that it was his conversation with Shah Rukh Khan.
Atilla told Shah Rukh that when he came to India in 2008, he watched one of his movies on the first night at the Taj Mahal Palace. Since then, he has been following him. Later, the same evening, Atilla joked that now, Shah Rukh should watch him. To which, the King Khan gave the sweetest reply. Atilla was quoted as saying:
"One of my greatest memories from the Ambani event was when I had a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan. I told him that the first time I came to India in 2008, I watched one of his movies on my first night at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. Since then, I’ve been following his work, and I jokingly added, "Shah Rukh, now it’s your turn to watch me. Are you ready?" He smiled and said, "Yes! Let’s do it."
In the same interview, Atilla also revealed that Ambani's pre-wedding festivities were less on alcohol. The family asked to focus more on non-alchohlic beverages, which helped him and the team to get more creative. Atilla revealed that he crafted a series of mocktails using exotic ingredients like yuzu, kaffir lime and saffron. He said:
"It's true that the party was less on alcohol. There was a strong focus on non-alcoholic beverages, but that only pushed us to get more creative. We crafted a series of elaborate mocktails, using exotic ingredients like yuzu, kaffir lime, and saffron, to mirror the luxury of the occasion. But we also had a few signature cocktails featuring subtle alcohol infusions that were low on ABV but high on flavor. The goal was to create an experience, not just a drink."
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant met during their college days, when they were together with their friends on a long drive. After dating for a long time, they decided to get married in 2024. They had two grand pre-wedding festivities. The first one was held in Jamnagar, which is close to the couple's heart, another one was a cruise celebration in the Mediterranean sea.
