Mohammed Shami Reveals Marrying Ex Wife, Hasin Jahan Was The 'Biggest Mistake' Of His Life

India's ace pacer, Mohammed Shami, may be having a good life on the pitch, but in his personal life, things are not fine. The Indian cricketer was married to Hasin Jahan, whom he touted to be the biggest mistake of his life. Shami recently revealed how the court ordeal had left a profound impact on him. It was in 2014 when Shami and Hasin got married and in 2018 Hasin had filed a domestic violence case on him.

Shami recently appeared on Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma and spoke in depth about his legal issues with his now estranged wife, Hasin. He called his marriage the 'biggest mistake' and shared how the full situation affected him. Shami spoke at length about his long legal fight with Hasin, with whom he got married in 2014, but they had started staying separately in 2018. Shami revealed:

"Life teaches you many things. I admit it was the biggest mistake of my life. I don’t blame anybody, it was my fate.”

Mohammed Shami and Hasin, who started staying separately, also addressed the domestic violence complaint that was filed against him by his wife back in 2018. He was asked how he managed to put full focus on the game despite having such a huge family issue. He shared:

"It was really difficult. It pinches you. When you play a highly competitive game, you have to switch to both sides to keep watch on what's happening there and what's going on here; you work under a lot of pressure."

Shami also revealed that he had attempted to negotiate an end to the dispute with Hasin. He stated that no one wants a fight at home, especially when one is serving the country. He did not want to experience unwanted stress and shared that he had tried to negotiate. However, it was also up to his ex-wife to decide what she wanted, and she revealed that she did not want to do anything different and was fine with the same arrangement. When he was asked about the abusive things said about him on social media, he noted:

"Kharaab cheezen toh boli jaati hai, par aajkal woh cheezen boli jaati hai, jo nahin hoti. Usse sabse zyada darr rehta hai. Kal main ek photo dekh raha tha; mujhe khud ko nahin pata main kab gaya hoon wahan pe. Mujhe pe jitne ilzaam lage hain pichhle 6-7 saal me, shayad itne ilzaam toh kisi te**oist par bhi nahin lage honge. Kuch nahin kar sakta isme main."

Rajat also added that India's top cricket players, such as Kapil Dev, Dhoni, and Virat Kohli, did support Shami and said that the domestic violence allegations are false. However, Shami shared that in his home, they celebrate more when a girl is born.  Boys are also born in his family, but when a girl child is born, they have a different type of 'jashn' (celebration). Shami shared that he had never seen his papa scold a woman in his family. However, he feels what happened between him and Hasin was something planned by destiny, and he accepted the reality.
