Mohit Raina And Aditi Sharma's Love Story, The Reel-Life Shiv Made The First Move For His 'Parvati'

Mohit Raina became a household name after he played the lead role of ‘Lord Shiva’ in the popular shows, Devon Ka Dev Mahadev and Mahabharat. With the show, Mohit not only gained widespread recognition but also enjoyed a God-like stature among his fans. The handsome actor began his acting journey in 2004 with the TV show, Antariksh.

He was also a part of the show, Bandini. For his role as Lord Shiva in Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, Mohit learnt the Indian classical dance, Kathak. In the show, which ran for three years, Mohit played over 30 different characters. Apart from the titular role in Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, Mohit also played the historic role of emperor ‘Akbar’ in the show, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.

Mohit ventured into films in 2008 with the comedy film, Don Muthu Swami. However, his role as ‘Major Karan Kashyap’ in Uri: The Surgical Strike, got him a lot of applause. Talking about his personal life, the actor is married to his soulmate, Aditi Sharma. Just like his professional life, Mohit’s love story with Aditi is also quite filmy. Mohit Raina met Aditi Sharma through common friends

Mohit Raina’s wife, Aditi Sharma, comes from a tech background and met the actor through common friends. They became friends and started hanging out together. Slowly, after becoming friends, they developed feelings for each other and started dating.

Mohita Raina made the first move

It was Mohit who made the first move in his relationship. In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, the actor shared that he was the one who made the first move in the relationship and pushed things.  Talking about the same, the Devon Ka Dev...Mahadev actor had said:

"I met her through common friends. My favourite quote is 'See what you want, get what you see'. So, I worked towards it. I was the one who started conversations and slowly-slowly pushed things."

Mohit and Aditi became good friends first and later developed feelings for each other. The actor emphasised that friendship is the base of their relationship. It was during the second wave of the pandemic that Mohit met Aditi’s family to ask her hand. Later, his and Aditi’s parents met and decided to move forward.

Mohit Raina and Aditi Sharma had a low-key wedding

Mohit tied the knot with Aditi on January 1, 2022, and when the actor posted pictures from his intimate wedding, it came as a surprise for everyone. Since Mohit is a big name in the entertainment world, his low-key wedding shocked everyone as there were no fancy parties. The actor got married in Rajasthan in the presence of his family members and close ones.

In the pictures, Mohit looked handsome in a white sherwani set teamed with a matching turban and contrasting mint green-hued doshala. On the other hand, his bride, Aditi, looked graceful in a multi-coloured lehenga teamed with traditional jewellery pieces. 

When asked why he chose to keep his wedding low-profile, Mohit stated that he is a private person and likes to keep his personal and professional lives separate. In his words:

“I did it in a small way. I have always been a very private person. Since the time I have joined the industry, I prefer to keep my personal life away from my professional life. That's the way I am."
