Mohnish Bahl Recalls When His Late Mother, Nutan Surprised Him By Being Dressed As A Foreigner

Indian actor, Mohnish Bahl is a renowned actor in both the Hindi film fraternity and the television industry. Over the years, he has been a part of some of the biggest movies ever made and many of the most popular daily soaps in the telly world. Apart from being an exceptional actor, he is also famous for being the son of the legendary actress, Nutan and ex-naval Lieutenant-Commander, Rajnish Bahl. However, since his childhood days, he had reportedly seen his parents fighting with each other over a series of irreconcilable issues.

However, it had only made him a stronger person, but it was Nutan's demise on February 21, 1991, that had broken something in her son, Mohnish Bahl that was beyond repair. Even to this very day, Mohnish misses the presence of his mother in his life. Now, in a recent interview with a leading news portal, Mohnish opened up about his late mother, Nutan and shared some interesting anecdotes from his childhood days.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mohnish Bahl opened up about his late mother and legendary actress, Nutan and threw some light on her life. When the actor was asked to explain the kind of mother she was, Mohnish revealed an incident from his teenage years. The doting son shared that when he was a teenager, he was going through a lot of pain and understood the complexities of life. When he had encountered heartbreaks in his love life and was losing people, it was his mother, Nutan, who had given him a bit of kind advice that had helped him overcome the pain of heartbreaks that he had suffered in his life. Recalling the same, Mohnish said:

"All the pains and tribulations of a teenager's love life, all the heartbreaks I shared with her. "Time moves on, things pass. Life doesn't end at any point," would be her kind advice."

Going further in the interview, Mohnish Bahl was asked to share any memorable incident or moment from his childhood days with his mother, Nutan that is quite close to his heart. Answering this, the actor recalled his old school days. One day, when he had returned home from his school, he had seen a foreign lady standing at the door of his, and it had confused him. However, when he had reached in front of the foreign lady, she had turned out to be his mother, Nutan. The actress was in the costume for her then-upcoming film, in which she was portraying the role of a foreign lady. Mohnish said:

"A distinct memory I have of her as a child is of the day when I came back from school to find her waiting at the door to surprise me. She was playing a foreigner in a film. For that she had worn blue contact lenses and a golden wig. At first, I didn't recognize her. But when she spoke, I excitedly cried out, Mom!"

In the same interview, Mohnish Bahl also shared his views on the kind of mother she was and explained why she was often regarded as one of the most photogenic actresses of all time. While praising his mother's beauty, the doting son also reflected on Nutan's presence as an actor on the big screen and admitted that she was a wonderful human being. In his words:

"I've always maintained that Mom was 100 times a better human being than she was an actor. And a 1000 times better mother than she was a human being. Hers was a benevolent presence. As an actor, she was respected for her incredible talent. As a star, she was said to possess the most photogenic face, a bone structure that looked beautiful from every angle. But for me, she was just my 'Mom', gorgeous anyways."
