The second we hear the word wedding, the first thought that strikes us, is of a young girl, donning the prettiest red lehenga, all set for the big day. There was a time when red was a must-have colour in bridal collections, and brides would always pick it to stand out. Thankfully, we have bid goodbye to this notion. Now, brides love experimenting with their wedding lehengas.
Over the years, we have seen many brides choosing famous celebrity designers' lehenga to get married in the most lavish way. But, have you ever wondered what a fashion designer's daughter-in-law will wear on her big day? Well, without even blinking an eye, she will definitely pick a piece from her in-law's collection. And fashion designer, Monisha Jaising's bahu was no exception. In fact, the saasu-maa, Monisha designed an exclusive lehenga for her daughter-in-law.

Monisha Jaising's daughter-in-law, Aanchal Wadhwa used to work with her brand, even before she became a part of the Jaising family. The bride, Aanchal Wadhwa grew closer to Yudhishthir Jaising during the lockdown. Last year, the groom went down on his knees in the Maldives and proposed his ladylove. The families hosted an intimate wedding ceremony for the couple.
For her bahu, Monisha Jaising decided to create a lehenga in pink colour for her daughter-in-law as it is her favourite colour. The bride looked gorgeous in the pink lehenga with swarovski-work. The 14-paneled silk organza lehenga was teamed with a scalloped decolletage choli and double-dupatta. The entire look of her lehenga had a vintage French touch to it.

The bride accessories her look with an elegant diamond necklace, matching earrings and a minimalistic maang teeka. She even opted for matching diamond bangles that added more sparkle to her look.
The bride kept her makeup subtle and dewy, sheen pink cheeks, softly lined eyes with mascara and glossy pink lips. She ditched the bridal bun and opted for half-tied hair at the back, which was adorned with real flowers.
We love how beautifully Monisha Jaising designed her daughter-in-law's wedding day look. What about you?
