The actress often becomes a soft target of trolls as people never miss a chance to slam her for one thing or another. For the unversed, on the personal front, Mouni tied the knot with a Dubai-based businessman, Suraj Nambiar, on January 27, 2022.

On April 16, 2024, Mouni Roy took to her IG handle and shared a cryptic note that talks about how social media allows people to make certain perceptions about others. In the post, the actress emphasised the fact that celebrities share only a part of their life on social media, and based on that, people think that they know everything about them. The note can be read as:

"Social media gives us a perception of access to people's lives without a relationship with them, so we think we know people based on what they choose to share. It's a warped view. There are a million layers to a person that will never be revealed by the posts they make."

Netizens react to Mouni Roy's cryptic post

Now, a Reddit user shared Mouni Roy's cryptic post on the discussion portal. Soon after that, a section of netizens flooded the comment section and started reacting to the actress' post. A user commented, "Toh karo reveal zyada layers. How is it on the audience, I dont get it. They are perceived on what they share. Ya toh karo hi nahi." Another penned, "Everyone is diplomatic and fake,bas levels r diff!"

Earlier, Mouni Roy raised many eyebrows with her latest look and was trolled for it. A Reddit user shared a picture of the actress from one of her latest appearances, wherein she was dressed in a grey-hued dress. Mouni, who always flaunted her long hair, was seen in a bob hairstyle in the picture. However, it was her facial features that looked changed, and Mouni almost looked unrecognisable. Sharing the picture, the netizen penned:

"What did mouni do to her face? Is it just me or did she actually change her entire face?"

As the picture went viral on the internet, many netizens started reacting to it. A user penned, "It's a normal thing. Once these people start ageing This how plastic ruins them." Another commented, "The question is what HASN'T she done to her face. Lol." A third user wrote, "The eyebrows look weird and she vaguely looks like Sara Ali Khan now. That’s what happens when you do plastic surgery at the same place as everyone else! It becomes a cookie cutter thing and everyone ends up looking similar."

Mouni Roy often faces huge trolling for whatever she does. Be it taking up negative roles in films and serials or her sartorial choices, Mouni faces brutal trolling many times in her life. Once she opened up about the same in an interview with BollywoodLife, and gave a befitting reply to the trolls. She had said:

“They feel like it's their importance, keep doing it, it's okay. It doesn't affect me.” 

On the work front, Mouni Roy will be next seen in the film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2.
