Mouni Roy REACTS To Claims Of Plastic Surgery After Netizens Notice Change In Facial Features

Mouni Roy is one of the strongest women in the glamour world, as she has carved her road to success. Starting her journey from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to working extremely hard in Ekta Kapoor starrer, Naagin, and later, marking her presence in the film industry, she has proved that hard work pays off. However, over the years, netizens often accused Mouni Roy of opting for plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments to enhance her beauty.

Mouni reacted to claims of another plastic surgery

Recently, Mouni talked about trolling regarding her changed facial features at an event. She also revealed how she deals with the internet's brutal remarks. She said she doesn't read all those comments as people find happiness sitting behind screens to pass hate comments. She was quoted as saying:

"Kuch nahin. Dekhti hee nahi. Let everyone do their job…I do not pay attention to such remarks. If you hide behind a screen to troll others and if you find happiness in that, so be it."

For the unversed, during the trailer launch event of her upcoming film, Bhootni, eagle-eyed netizens quickly noticed Mouni's changed facial features. They noticed an unusual dent on her forehead and stated that she must have another forehead botox and lip enhancement. 

Mouni Roy talked about getting body-shamed when she came to Mumbai

At the tender age of 19, Mouni Roy tasted fame with her role as 'Krishna Tulsi Virani' in Ekta Kapoor's hit show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Over the years, she transformed herself, and fans love her fashion sense. But she wasn't always praised for her looks. During the initial years of entering the glamour world, she faced brutal body-shaming.

Mouni Roy reveals she overheard people talking about her looks 

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni Roy revealed that she faced a lot of harsh criticism from people. She had overheard people talking about her looks behind her back. Mouni revealed that she had a humble upbringing as she was born in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, and always knew she wasn't a gorgeous person. She said:

"I'll be very honest when I started and people used to talk, I’ve always heard, always known I’m not the best looking person in a room. And I’ve always been okay with it. But when I came to Bombay, it was somehow a problem to look different, to not look like the quintessential heroine."

Mouni further added that as a 19-year-old girl, it would affect her, and she would cry a lot. She revealed that earlier, she didn't know about makeup or hair or how to present herself in front of people. She said:

"I’ve understood all that (being a quintessential heroine) now, but as a young girl of 19, it was very difficult. I used to cry a lot. I’ve overheard people in a room talking about me. My first 2-3 years in terms of how I looked or felt. I never… When I came here, suddenly it was I didn’t know anything about hair or makeup or how to present myself. But thankfully I was very observant and God gave me the wisdom to finally overcome it."
