On December 20, 2016, the fate of a celeb baby was sealed that he will rule the internet in a humongous manner, way above his star parents, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Yes, we are talking about Taimur Ali Khan. Taimur is one name, who is responsible for the bread and butter of many people. Do you remember 'Taimur's rate card' being discussed on Koffee with Karan Season 6 when papa Saif Ali Khan had come with Sara Ali Khan? We were left stumped on learning that a photographer gets more than 1500 rupees for each photo of Taimur. A movie is all set to be made on Taimur's name. If a report in the Mumbai Mirror is to be believed, famous Bollywood director, Madhur Bhandarkar has registered the title of the movie as he has been smitten by 2-year-old's name. Madhur's films is a depiction of reality especially of the industries belonging to the glam world like Page 3, Calendar Girls, Corporate, among others. Can you take it? A movie on Taimur's name? In fact, it should not come as a surprise, after all, Ranveer Singh wants to act with him, and Ajay Devgn feels that the chote nawab is the greatest Khan today. Taimur's popularity is only increasing on a daily basis. When his step-sister, Sara Ali Khan appeared on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa recently, she was presented with a doll of Taimur. She shared in an interview, "So, we were on this reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma and they gave me this doll. I think they realised that in front of Amit sir (Amit Trivedi) and Sushant (Singh Rajput) they shouldn't do this because they'll turn around and say this, "It's a bit awkward." But, "Sara is Sara and she'll take it so, let's just do it". And they have given me this doll and said, "doodh pilaao bachche ko" and this that and the other and I was like, "What's going on!" I was like, "There is this lookalike of my baby brother in my hands and there are these bottles of doodh and it was just." Sara's Kedarnath co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput intervened and asked her, “It was actually a lookalike?” Sara replied, “Arey, ya there is a Taimur doll. It's a lookalike of Taimur, I am telling you. And they have given me the doll." The Simmba actress further added, "It was insane. Sushant and Amit sir were there and suddenly they weren't and there was the baby and I was like, "Okay, then..." So, yes that was that."
Narrating the incident, a Deccan Chronicle report suggested, "She was as startled by the emergence of the doll as anyone else. The family is still trying to come to terms with Taimur’s overwhelming popularity. Saif was summoned by his mom (the legendary actress Sharmila Tagore) to discuss the issue. Normally, Sharmilaji is the most non-interfering mother you will find. But now with two-year-old Taimur being constantly in the limelight, she feels some measures must be taken to provide the child a normal life."
On being asked about Taimur's doll, papa Saif recently said in an interview, "Maybe I should trademark his name…The least they could do is send me one!” Further, he said, “I am glad people are benefiting from him. I only ask God for his safety and happiness in return."
Saif's mother and Taimur's grandmother, Sharmila Tagore recently commented on his growing popularity. She said, “I don’t approve of this social media attention and what they (people) are doing to Taimur. People are really stalking him! They are in front of his school, the play school that he goes too, following him when he’s going with his parents and it’s not really a good thing. Because, at the moment he’s young but he’s still understanding cameras and stuff. So one can’t really go out, to avoid this attention. There should be some kind of request to the people to lay off Taimur. Or maybe another baby will arrive someday and they will get bored of this one."

In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, mommy Kareena stated, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.” (Suggested Read: Neha Dhupia On Motherhood, Says My One-Month-Old Baby Girl, Mehr Has Taught Me So Much)
