Ravi Teja's upcoming film, Mr Bachchan, is all set to release on August 15, 2024. For the unversed, the film is the official remake of Ajay Devgn's film, Raid, which was released in 2018. For the unversed Ravi Teja's look in the film, Mr Bachchan draws inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan's iconic style, which he showed off in the '70s and '80s era. But ahead of its release, the film landed in trouble as it featured a photo of Amitabh Bachchan with Rekha.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification asked the makers of Mr Bachchan to undergo major changes because the film featured a photo of Amitabh Bachchan with Rekha in the rolling credits. The CBFC clearly stated that the makers should replace it with a photo of Big B with his wife, Jaya Bachchan.

They even asked the makers to add a disclaimer stating that the film is fictional and has no resemblance to any person or place. The editors were also asked to remove or replace certain offensive words. And a one-second scene showing blood was removed.
For the unversed, Rekha's relationship with Amitabh Bachchan was famous and known to all. On Simi Garewal's show, Rekha accepted her love for him. When Simi Garewal had asked her, "Did Rekha love Amitabh?" To this, Rekha had said, "Absolutely! Duh, that's a dumb question!" And then she had gone on to generalise that statement, "I'm yet to come across a man, woman, child, who can't help but fall completely, passionately, insanely, desperately and especially, hopelessly, in love with him. So why should I be singled out?"

While the Bachchan family refused to address Rekha's fondness for Amitabh Bachchan. Rekha often indirectly talks about the same. In a rare interview with the International magazine, Vogue Dubai, Rekha talked about love, life and relationships. The actress expressed her thoughts on love. The actress was quoted as saying:
"When you love someone or something so deeply, does the love disappear? No. Once the relationship is established it is forever. Sometimes we may want more and sometimes it’s just enough. This applies to my craft."
For those who don't know, Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan have been together for the past 51 years. They are parents to Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan and proud grandparents of Aaradhya Bachchan, Navya Nanda, and Agastya Nanda.
Not many know that before the marriage, Amitabh had imposed a condition that Jaya would reduce her work hours. Yes, in a conversation with her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, during her podcast, What The Hell Navya, Jaya revealed Amitabh's condition.
Jaya revealed that they had decided to get married in October as her work would be less during that time. However, Amitabh straight away told her that he didn't want a wife who was working 9 to 5. He clarified that she could work, but she should reduce her work time. Sharing the anecdote, Jaya Bachchan said:
"We had decided we will marry in October because by then my work would have reduced. But he had told me, 'I definitely don’t want a wife who will be 9 to 5. Please work, but not every day. You choose your projects and work with the right people'."
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the film, Kalki 2898 AD!
