While not much about the love story of MrBeast and Thea Booysen is known, as per reports, they first met back in 2022, when MrBeast was out on a tour to South Africa, where his now-fiancee resides. The couple met through a common friend. Reportedly, they met to have a casual dinner together, but something just sparked between Thea and MrBeast. Thea said that she realised that MrBeast was different from others, and it was his down-to-earth and driven nature that attracted her the most. MrBeast popped the question to the love of his life, Thea, on the special occasion of Christmas 2024. Talking to People, Thea revealed that they had decided to celebrate Christmas together, and when she was opening the last present, her beau requested her to close her eyes and asked her the question, 'Will you marry me?' On the other hand, MrBeast stated that while everyone thought that his proposal was going to be a lavish affair, he wanted it to be really special and low-key. MrBeast said:
"I intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the real gift, with the ring inside, to her. And then I went down on a knee and proposed. My friends thought I would want to propose in a very public way, like some sort of spectacle at the Super Bowl or somewhere else really big like that, but I knew that I wanted it to be the opposite, to be really private and intimate."
In the photos that MrBeast shared, we could see the couple twinning in matching sweatshirts. MrBeast was on his knees while proposing to his ladylove, while in another snap we could see Thea flaunting her round-cut huge engagement ring.
Talking to People, Thea Booysen revealed that she and MrBeast are thinking of getting married somewhere on an island. As per the couple, their wedding will not be that extravagant, but it will mark the presence of their near and dear ones. On the other hand, MrBeast shared that he generally doesn't take much time for vacation, so he wants to celebrate with his lady love and family members and friends, during the joyous occasion of his life. MrBeast stated:
"I don’t take much vacation because of how hard I work, so I definitely want to make sure that the wedding will be a time to celebrate with her and spend time with friends and family who we really enjoy being with. It will be the ultimate way to take some time away and enjoy things."
