Mridul Tiwari And Gaurav Khanna Expose The 'Fake Hype' Around Ahaan Panday's 'Saiyaara' In 'BB19'

Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan, is becoming more interesting day by day. With each passing day, the drama inside the house has been escalating a lot. Amongst that, recently Mridul Tiwari grabbed media attention by making a statement on the Bollywood film, Saiyaara. For those who don’t know, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer film, Saiyaara broke a lot of records in 2025 by earning Rs. 570 crore worldwide. 

Mridul Tiwari calls the Saiyaara hype fake

In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, Mridul Tiwari, Gaurav Khanna and Ashnoor Kaur were seen doing their duties in the kitchen. During that, Mridul was seen humming the song, Saiyaara Tu Toh and Gaurav jumped in between and said, "Maine ye movie nahi dekhi, pata hai." To this Mridul replied, "Acchi baat hai." Then Gaurav continued to mention, "Maine wo meme dekhe the jo log ro rahe hai hall mein. Aisa real tha kya?" To reply to that, Mridul Tiwari said:

"Aree kuch nahi, bakwas. Kuch bhi nahi. Main tumhe sachi batau, ye tak bhi kaha gaya tha normal logo se, Instagram wale logo se, ki tum jaake ye karna. Aisa kar dena jisse hype ban jaaye. Ab batao tumhe kya chiz yaad hai puri movie mein."

Gaurav Khanna then continued to mention that despite the fake hype, the film, Saiyaara managed to win hearts and earn well at the box office. Hearing that Mridul Tiwari said, "Isse chakkar mein chal gayi movie. Toh bhai yehi toh naye naye tareeke hai viral karne hai. Logo ko waha tak pahucha do. Ticket kharidke, phir tum bura bolo ya accha, ticket toh bik gaya na." 

Ashnoor Kaur reviewed the film, Saiyaara

During the conversation between Gaurav Khanna and Mridul Tiwari in the kitchen, Ashnoor Kaur was also present, doing the dishes. And in between she also explained that all the videos of influencers that went viral were nothing but a PR stunt. Curious Gaurav then asked Ashnoor, "But how’s the film?" To which the television actress replied, "Decent hai. One-time watch. Ha, but aise nahi ki rula de and all."

Internet came in support of Mridul Tiwari’s statement

As soon as this clip from Bigg Boss 19 went viral on social media platforms, a lot of users came in support of Mridul Tiwari and agreed with his statement against Saiyaara. One user commented, "Hahaha loved this part." Another user wrote, "I agree with you GK Bhai and Mridul bhai." A third user penned, "Best review." A user shared, "True, bakwaas movie." Another user commented, "Meri dil ki bat bol di bakwas movie."

2025 film, Saiyaara was directed by Mohit Suri and it starred debutant, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The romantic musical film turned out to become one of the year’s biggest hits. Saiyaara was a love story between 'Krish', a young musician and 'Vaani', a talented songwriter. The film was produced by Yash Raj Films and its success made Ahaan and Aneet superstars overnight. Reportedly, the film earned Rs. 330 crore in India and approximately Rs. 570 crore worldwide.
