Mrunal Thakur’s Old ‘Better Than Bipasha’ Comment Resurfaces, Fans Say, 'Dhanush Saath..'

Actress, Mrunal Thakur has a humongous fan following. Her breakthrough role was in Sriti Jha's Kumkum Bhagya serial, where she essayed the role of 'Bulbul Arora'. Her chemistry with Arjit Taneja, who played 'Purab Khanna' in the serial, was much loved. However, amid dating rumours of the actress seeing Dhanush, Mrunal once in an interview told Arjit that she was far better than Bollywood actress, Bipasha Basu. The old interview clip has now surfaced on social media. Mrunal received mixed reactions to her statement, with some supporting Bipasha and others realising why Dhanush was with the actress.

Before Mrunal entered the world of movies with Love Sonia in 2018, she was well known for her work in Kumkum Bhagya. The old clip has stirred conversation on social media, where Mrunal told Arjit that she was better than Bipasha. In the interview, Arjit, her former co-actor, asked her to do a headstand, to which she told him to sit down while she would stand on his head. Arjit then told her to do pushups, to which she revealed that he wanted to marry a girl with muscles. The actor revealed that he wanted to marry a toned girl, to which Mrunal said:

"Go marry Bipasha! Listen, I am far better than Bipasha.Okay!”

Netizens think that Mrunal Thakur was insecure about Bipasha Basu

After the video went viral, one Redditor commented that Bipasha is tall and confident. The user shared, "I don't blame these insecure women for being mad, they know they can't match up to her inner and outer hotness." Another one commented, "She is extremely beautiful, tall, and confident, but certain women seem to get triggered by it because she is dusky and they can't fathom her getting the kind of recognition and attention. It's the same way certain white women feel insecure when women of colour get attention and recognition for being beautiful."

A user even wrote, "She was so mean in Nach Baliye. I believe she pretends to be a changed person, but is still a very judgmental and rude human. She was so mean there. Always got negative vibes from her after that. And she hasn’t changed. I saw some clips of the beer biceps podcast, and she sounded like a pick me in that, too." 

A user commenting on Dhanush's existence in Mrunal's life shared, "No wonder Dhanush sath kyu hai." A user even shared that the full clip of the interview was far worse. Mrunal even taunted Bipasha for looking manly with muscles.

Mrunal Thakur addresses dating rumours with Dhanush

 On the one hand, Redditors found Mrunal's comment on Bipasha mean, and on the other side, the actress finally answered whether she was dating Dhanush. Both of them were seen holding hands at Mrunal's birthday party. Putting an end to all the rumours, she shared in a press statement that the actor was a buddy to her and noted:

"Dhanush is just a good friend to me. I’m aware that a lot of news has been circulating about the two of us being linked together recently. I just found it funny when I saw it. Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event. No one should misunderstand that. It was Ajay Devgn who invited him.”
