MS Dhoni And Sakshi Dhoni Expecting Their Second Child In 2022, BFF, Suresh Raina's Wife Confirms

Welcoming a child is the biggest blessing and MS Dhoni’s family is going to experience it for the second time. Yes, MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, are expecting their second baby together, and there is a wave of happiness amongst all the Dhoni fans. We remember how in 2015, MS Dhoni had chosen his national duty over husband duty, making his firstborn, Ziva Dhoni, everyone’s favourite.

For the unversed, MS Dhoni had refused to return home to be with his pregnant wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni, who was ready to deliver their first baby at any moment. As he keeps his mobile off during important tournaments, it was his best friend, Suresh Raina, who was informed about his daughter’s birth and he had delivered the ‘good news’ to Mahi. On February 6, 2015, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Singh Dhoni had welcomed their first child, Ziva Singh Dhoni.

On the night of October 15, 2021, beating Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings had lifted the IPL trophy for the fourth time. MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi and their daughter, Ziva, joined him on the field post his victory to celebrate the same. A picture where the family of three was seen hugging went viral over the internet, it was speculated that Sakshi is pregnant. According to various media reports, Suresh Raina’s wife, Priyanka Raina, confirmed that Sakshi is four months pregnant, and the couple is expecting their second baby in 2022.

Coming back to Ziva’s birth, scrolling through our social media handle, we had stumbled upon a picture of MS Dhoni with his then-newborn daughter, Ziva, and it had spoken volumes about daddy love. In the picture, we could see Dhoni wearing a baby holder, carrying the then-newborn Ziva inside it, and as it was too crowded, the then-new daddy had turned protective as he was seen holding Ziva tight while covering her face with his hand. The expressions on his face had clearly stated how worried he was about Ziva at that moment.

In an interview with The Print, Dhoni had talked about the changes Ziva had brought into his life and had shared, “It is a very different feeling, and I personally find it very difficult to put it in words. It is more of an emotion, and I feel I have not really missed a lot of things in life, but after a while when I am outside, after a few days, I actually start missing Ziva. Not to the extent that it starts bothering my cricket and all, but it is the first time ever when I feel, maybe I should Facetime to see what she is really doing."

He had further added, "It is not like we interact a lot, she is very independent, she is very young but very independent, she does not really look for many people to be around her. I have played for India for about 12 years, even more, but that sort of ‘missing’ has never happened. I feel that is the fatherly feeling that makes it happen."

There is no official confirmation about the pregnancy from MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni.
