Be it from the world of entertainment, sports, business, politics or social work, there was, is and will always be a huge deal about celebrities and famous personalities. Though if we search for them, we would get thousands of articles comprising of information about them. However, the charm and craze of a biopic film is on a whole different level as inspiring, heartwarming, and thought-provoking stories of real-life people on the big screen is like history restored. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story highlights the journey of the ‘Captain Cool’ of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

From leaving his job as a ticket collector to pursue his dream of becoming a cricketer to the struggles he had faced in reaching where he is today and achieving immense success and respect from the Indians, to showcase the journey of Mahendra Singh Dhoni on the big screens, Sushant Singh Rajput had stepped into the shoes of 'Captain Cool' of the Indian national cricket team and was highly praised for his performance. The biographical epic of Mahi (fondly called by his fans) was a stellar box office success that was mostly about his career and journey as a cricketer. But the movie also gave a glimpse of his love story with his wife, Sakshi Singh.
While Sushant Singh Rajput mastered the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the biopic, Kiara Advani was roped in to play the role of his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni. Dhoni had tied the knot with his ladylove, Sakshi on July 4, 2010, in Dehradun. For the wedding, Sakshi had picked the bridal colour red for her lehenga which was paired with a contrasting green-coloured choli. One of Sakshi's double dupattas was draped neatly on her shoulder and the heavy one was draped to perfection on her head, to accentuate the visual aesthetics of her overall bridal look. Sakshi's bridal look was accentuated with heavy neckpieces, a maang teeka, nath and red bangles. For the wedding sequence in the film, Kiara's bridal look was beautifully replicated with Sakshi's with the recreation of her wedding lehenga.

For the wedding, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had opted for a blue shirt and black pants paired with a heavily embroidered jacket. Even Sushant Singh Rajput's wedding look in the film, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story was recreated the same way as Dhoni's. Even the orange-coloured pagdi was the same for the groom on and off-screen. Before the release of the film, Sushant had revealed that they "had three sets of meetings during 12 months of prep". Dhoni had praised Sushant's efforts in replicating his famous helicopter shot.

Five years after the wedding, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Singh had embraced parenthood with the arrival of a little angel, whom they have name Ziva Dhoni. Once, scrolling through social media, we found a picture of Dhoni, in awe of Sushant playing with his then around a-year-old daughter, Ziva. The black-and-white picture of Dhoni, Sushant and Ziva had definitely made us nostalgic and teary-eyed as it had screamed of nothing but love, and only love! Another picture from 2015 shared on Sushant’s Facebook page had him and his former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande cuddling little Ziva as they had gone for dinner at Dhoni and Sakshi’s Ranchi residence.
In a throwback interview with the Hindustan Times, Kiara Advani had spoken about Sakshi Singh Dhoni and why she was in awe of her after they spoke on phone. Kiara had said, "She was so approachable and grounded. I felt like I knew this girl from before. She was like any other young girl in her 20s, totally unfazed by all the hype that surrounds her. I wanted to connect with her, understand her, how she thought, felt and bring out those traits in my character." Recalling her star-struck moment with Sakshi, Kiara had remarked, "She was with her daughter, so honestly, my eyes just went on the baby. But I could feel an instant mirror effect and that's when I realised why I have been chosen for this role. Also, I was not star-struck meeting MS Dhoni but I was totally awestruck by her."

Sushant and Kiara have amazingly portrayed MS Dhoni and Sakshi on-screen and we couldn't think of better actors than them for this role!
