During a press conference of the film, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sushant Singh Rajput joined each other to address the media and their questions. One of the reporters asked Sushant to share some memorable incidents between him and MS Dhoni during the film’s preparation and shooting. In response to the question, Sushant recalled the exact moment when the cricketer lost his cool at him. The actor revealed that during the initial days, he was asking too many questions from Dhoni, and it left him annoyed. He said:
"For the first time, I have seen Dhoni losing his cool. First two to three days I asked him some questions and he answered them calmly. Then he said you ask a lot of questions let me come back. I was just asking him one question in different ways again and again."
As soon as Sushant Singh Rajput’s statement was over, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who continued the story and revealed how he got pissed while talking about himself. The cricketer shared how Sushant used to ask him one question in different ways and used to believe in his answers. As a result, the whole session was quite exhausting for him and left Dhoni irritated after a while. The cricketer also revealed he walked off after having a 15-min conversation with Sushant as he needed a break. Talking about the same, Dhoni said:
"He (Sushant) used to ask one question repeatedly and if he gets a similar answer then he used to believe that I am being honest and then he used to go to the next question. It was a bit awkward initially to speak about yourself. After 15 mins you get bored talking about yourself and I was like I need a break, I am going."

Dhoni: The Untold Story, recalled how Mahendra Singh Dhoni praised Sushant Singh Rajput for his performance in his biographical drama. The filmmaker revealed that Dhoni saw a clip of Sushant practising his famous ‘helicopter shot’ in the nets. After watching it, Dhoni admitted that Sushant could play in Ranji Trophy. The director recorded Dhoni’s remark about Sushant and showed it to the actor, leaving the latter a bit emotional. Recalling the incident, Neeraj said:
"I still remember that child-like smile on Sushant’s face when Mahi, after watching a training clip of the actor playing the helicopter shot on his phone, said in jest: ‘Arre tu to bilkul photocopy kar diya, Ranji Trophy khel jaoge tum."
There’s no denying the fact that M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is hands-down one of the greatest films ever made in India.
