One such couple, who decided to be together despite the age gap of 14 years is Rahul Dev and Mugdha Godse. The two had first met each other at a common friend’s wedding in 2013. It was not a love at first sight, however, the two had developed a special bond through the entire wedding function. From friends, the two turned into a couple, and have completed 7 years of togetherness.
On June 3, 2020, Mugdha Godse took to her Instagram handle to wish the love of her life, Rahul Dev on their 7th anniversary. Sharing a perfect couple picture, Mugdha also mentioned their friends, whose wedding had played a Cupid and had made their life a blissful journey. Along with the picture, Mugdha wrote, “7 years it is... Happy anniversary @rahuldevofficial special mention to @anchalkumar24 @agmittal whose wedding we met, in jaipur!!! Not many know, Rahul Dev was earlier married to Rina Dev for eleven years and in the year 2009, she had passed away after giving a tough fight to cancer. They have a son named, Siddharth. In an interview with BollywoodLife, Mugdha had opened up on her equation with her beau, Rahul's son, Siddharth. She had shared, "It (our equation) is very good. He is such a kind and loving boy. He is very well brought up. Frankly speaking, I didn’t realize how 7 years have gone by. It’s an everyday journey that becomes more beautiful day by day. Every couple has its ups and downs, but when you see the ups are more than the downs, you know you are in the right place. Earlier, in an interview with Pro Music Countdown, Rahul had talked about the 14-year-age gap with his girlfriend, Mugdha. He had stated, "We have a nearly 14 year age gap and it did worry me, but then I realised that my parents had an age gap of 10 years too. So it’s not that big a gap. Also, I believe that till the time you are happy, age difference and everything else shouldn’t be an issue." He had further added, "It was not love at first sight, but we became friends at a common friend’s wedding. Throughout all the functions, we were together and we bonded really well. Post that, we started meeting each other, got close and fell madly in love. I must say, I am very lucky."
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Mugdha had revealed details of her relationship with Rahul. She had shared, "Our relationship has created positive changes in both of us. I had no apprehensions at all about being with Rahul. Everything just fell in place. You don’t think when you fall in love... that’s why they use the word ‘fall’ I guess."
