'Shaktimaan' Fame, Mukesh Khanna Takes Dig At Comedian, Kapil Sharma, Says, 'Naya Naya Paida Hua...'

Veteran actor, Mukesh Khanna, known for his prominising role as Shaktimaan, has again gone into a rift with comedian, Kapil Sharma. Kapil Sharma is known for his comedy shows like Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights With Kapil, The Great Indian Kapil Show and The Kapil Sharma Show. In a recent chat on the podcast, Uncensored with Shardul, Mukesh Khanna again took a dig at Kapil Sharma, recalling an incident that happened years back at an award function.

Mukesh Khanna recalled Kapil Sharma didn’t greet him at the Gold Awards

Many times, Mukesh Khanna has brought up the issues he had with Kapil Sharma on his YouTube channel. This time, in a podcast chat show, Uncensored with Shardul, Mukesh shared that the entire country touches his feet in respect without him asking for it, but now this kind of decency is disappearing from the film industry. He then recalled an incident at the Gold Awards years back, where he was not acknowledged by comedian, Kapil Sharma. Recalling the same, he said:

“I was mentioning to someone the reason I do not like Kapil Sharma and why I refused to go on his show, and that story should serve as an eye-opener to everyone, to understand how the film industry really works. At the Gold Awards, I was being presented with an award, and Kapil Sharma, who was naya naya paida hua and was doing Comedy Circus, was also being awarded. He came and sat beside me and did not even acknowledge me; he sat there for around 20 minutes, and once his name came up, he took the award and went home.”

Mukesh revealed that Kapil did not have any courtesy

Being offended by Kapil’s behaviour, Mukesh revealed in the same chat show that Kapil did not show any courtesy at all. He then took some big names from Bollywood, who had been respectful and greeted him very well even after not knowing him personally. He shared how Amitabh Bachchan greeted him on his way back from London and said how Hrithik Roshan acknowledged him in an airport. Addressing the same, he said:

“I have met Amit ji so many times on flights. I was coming back from London, and so was he. We do not know each other, but he knows that both of us are actors, so we talked. Hrithik Roshan and I were standing at the airport, and he met me and told me, ‘At this point there are two superheroes standing at this airport.’ Even though you have never met someone, you give them such a big compliment, and that is our industry, our fraternity. Kapil Sharma did not have any courtesy.”

In a past interview with Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh Khanna said that he didn’t like to see shows like The Kapil Sharma Show or Bigg Boss as he considered the content of the show as vulgar. He also called Kapil, a terrible entertainer having no culture. Then, he mentioned the two incidents that made him decide not to appear on the comedy show. One incident was Kapil's behaviour with him at an award show, and another was related to a skit he performed. Addressing the other incident, he said:

"I won’t say they made me ‘anti-Kapil,’ but my vibrations didn’t match with him. The person might be good, but you don’t feel comfortable with him. I don’t think he even realises it, but I had told Krushna Abhishek. They used to do skits on Comedy Circus, and the mistake Kapil made was that he wore Shaktimaan’s costume, and in front of him was a girl, with a bed shown on the side. I said, ‘What the hell!’ We’ve made this character so righteous, and you’re showing that since he’s busy, he isn’t going to a girl—otherwise, he would be wooing them. You’re doing this just for the sake of comedy. I called Krushna and questioned him. Krushna told me that he was supposed to do this act, but Kapil took it from him.”
