Now, Mukti and Kunal opened up about their secret wedding affair.
In a candid conversation with ETimes, the newlyweds, Mukti Mohan and Kunal Thakur opened up about their secret wedding. Talking about the same, the actress stated that she is blessed to receive so much love. Calling her marriage a 'blessed union', Mukti said:
"We keep passing at each other, looking at each other. We are right now opening all the gifts. We are feeling blessed, it was a blessed union. I genuinely had no idea people would be so happy to see us happy."

In the same conversation, Kunal revealed that he and Mukti met professionally and eventually fell in love with each other. Adding to it, Mukti said that on the first day they met, they felt an instant connection. Revealing that she wanted to keep her relationship hidden, the actress mentioned that nobody knew about their love. On the other hand, Kunal mentioned that they wanted to keep their relationship personal as there was no point in talking about it unless it translated into a wedding. For the unversed, Mukti and Kunal dated 3 years before getting married. In their words:
"We met professionally for a film. There is a lot of power in not revealing our vulnerabilities. At heart we both are kids. The day we met, it was an instant connection. I wanted to keep it pure. We made sure that no one was aware of it. Also, when you are in a relationship, you want to keep it personal. Only when it has translated into a wedding, you tell the world."
Further, in the same conversation, Mukti revealed that her elder sister, Neeti Mohan and her husband, Nihaar Pandya really wanted the two to get married. Stating that despite being the youngest one in the family, Mukti said that she got married as she felt it was the right time for it. The actress also mentioned that people even questioned her decision and told her that she wouldn't get work after getting married. In her words:
"We knew that we would get married. Neeti Di and Nihaar jiju were persistent of us to get married. We just kept saying yes. Although I am the youngest one in the family and I have two sisters elder to me, I just found this was the right time. We were facing all a lot of questions from my closed ones such as, 'Really you want to get married? At this stage? You have releases coming up; after you get married, you won't get work, people get married after they have achieved this and that'. I just believe there is so much power in just choosing and this was very special and personal."

In the concluding note, Mukti mentioned that walking down the aisle was unreal. Mentioning how her sisters made her wedding happen, the actress revealed that everyone was beyond happy. Adding to this, Kunal opened up about the most beautiful moments from their wedding and mentioned that every time Mukti tried a lehenga while shopping, he would get emotional. The lovebirds also revealed that they would go to different countries for their honeymoon in the next year.
On December 10, 2023, Mukti Mohan shared the first-ever pictures from her wedding with Kunal Thakur on her IG handle. For her wedding, the actress donned a pastel pink-hued lehenga that featured intricate floral embroidery. She styled her saree with a matching blouse and dual dupattas. Mukti looked pretty as she accentuated her look with layered emerald necklaces, a matha patti, a nath, bangles and bangles, Dewy makeup and a sleek bun. On the other hand, Kunal looked dapper in an ivory-hued sherwani.
