Heartbreaking Glimpse From Mukul Dev's Funeral Surfaces, Brother, Rahul Dev Performs Last Rites

Mukul Dev, one of the known faces of Bollywood, left everyone shattered as he passed away at the age of 54. The actor was seen in several Bollywood movies and TV series, and was loved broadly by cinema lovers. It was on May 23, 2025, when Mukul breathed his last. His last rites took place on May 24, 2025, and his friends and family members arrived to pay their last respects to the actor. Recently, glimpses from Mukul Dev's funeral made rounds on social media, and it's heartbreaking.

Taking to his IG handle, Rahul Dev shared the heartbreaking news of his brother, Mukul Dev's demise. In a note, he stated that Mukul passed away on May 23, 2025, at the hospital. While the exact reason for Mukul's demise isn't known yet, it was reported that he had been unwell for several days, and he was admitted to the hospital 8-10 days before passing away.

Well, in the glimpses from his funeral, his friends and family friends were seen arriving and offering condolences to Mukul's grief-stricken family. In another glimpse, Mukul's brother, Rahul was seen performing his last rites and taking part in the rituals. In the ending section of his note, Rahul stated that Mukul was survived by his daughter, Sia, and was missed by his siblings and nephew.

Mukul Dev's professional life

Mukul Dev began his journey at the age of 8. He received his first pay-check at this tender age for impersonating Michael Jackson for a dance show on Doordarshan. He began his journey back in 1996 with the TV serial, Mumkin. Apart from that, he was seen in series like Ek Se Badh Kar Ek, Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Pyar Zindagi Hai. From Son Of Sardar, Jai Ho to R... Rajkumar and Yamla Pagla Deewana, Mukul Dev was also seen in several movies. He was all set to make a comeback with Son Of Sardar 2. His co-star, Vindu Dara Singh told ETimes, that he worked really hard and performed really well, but unfortunately, he won't be able to witness the same on the silver screen.

Mukul Dev's personal life

Mukul Dev got married to Shilpa Dev, while there are not many details available about their relationship and marital life, they have a daughter, Sia. Mukul got separated from his wife back in 2005, and the reason behind the same still remains behind the fog. Well, back in those times, India Forums learned from the sources that the split might have happened due to their differences, in which neither party could be blamed.

As per the source, after their split, Mukul had become really quiet, but he often would fly off to Delhi to meet his daughter. After his demise, Vindu Dara also revealed that the actor suffered from loneliness, and he would consume alcohol and gutka. He also said that Mukul's daughter didn't stay with him, and the actor was depressed after his mom's demise, and couldn't let that pain go.
