Mumtaz made a huge name in the film industry from the tender age of eleven. She made her debut in the 1958's film, Sone Ki Chidiya and went on to become a famous actress of all time. Mumtaz has always enjoyed her life to the fullest and lived each day with no regret. At the age of 76, she doesn't shy away from speaking her heart out. Recently, she visited Pakistan, and she made sure to share glimpses of her travel diaries with her fans on Instagram.
On April 19, 2024, Mumtaz shared glimpses from her visit to Pakistan. In the first picture, we can see Mumtaz striking a pose with the famous Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who was also seen in the Indian film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In another photo, the two are sitting on a couch as they enjoy chit-chatting with each other. We also spotted Mumtaz's picture with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Mumtaz has been vocal about her thoughts, and her life. Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Mumtaz talked about her own extra-marital affair. She shared that after her husband, Mayur revealed his infidelity episode, she began feeling lonely and was left extremely hurt. She shared that she had flown to India, and found someone, who helped her get through it. She called it a temporary phase, which ended soon. Talking about the same, Mumtaz said:
"Honestly, after the episode, I began feeling lonely. Main thodi rubabwali (headstrong) thi. I felt hurt. So, I flew down to India. When you’re amidst thorns and someone comes along with a rose, you do get carried away. But it was nothing serious. Just a temporary phase, which ended soon."

Mumtaz further shared that she is lucky that her husband, Mayur still loves her, and even if she falls sick, he is there for her, and it becomes a big thing. She was quoted as saying:
"I’m lucky that my husband still loves me so much. Even if I fall a bit sick, hungama khada ho jaata hai (there is hue and cry about it)."
In the same interview, Mumtaz opened up about her husband, Mayur's affair that made it to the headlines. She shared that it is common for men to have affairs. She shared that her husband didn't have any, except one. However, she respects him as he told himself about it. Mumtaz recalled and shared that he had devolved a liking towards a girl in the US.
