Bigg Boss 17 was hands down the most controversial season in the history of the personality-based reality show. The season had its grand finale on January 28, 2024, and standup comedian, Munawar Faruqui was crowned as the winner, followed by Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra as first and second runner-up, respectively. One of the most iconic rivalries in the show that prevailed til the end was of Munawar Faruqui and Anurag Dobhal, aka Rider UK07. Though Anurag got evicted mid-season, the duo continued their rivalry even outside the house.
On February 22, 2024, Anurag shared a vlog on his YouTube channel, where he has over 75.9 lakh subscribers and took a merciless jibe at Munawar Faruqui. Anurag said that riders roam around the city in supercars while two-timers resort to taxis and rented cars. Moreover, the winning car of the show isn’t enough to even afford two tyres of McLaren supercar. Anurag also added that he and his brother donated the winning amount of the show to the needy, but they will never be arrogant about it. In Anurag’s words:
“Rider toh supercar mei ghoomte hai, aur jo two timing karte hai who taxi mei. Jo show ki winning price ki gari thi na who Mclaren ki doo type mei ajayenge but fir bhi ghamand nahi karna bhai. Jitna show ka winning price tha who toh humne donate kaar diya.”

Anurah didn’t even spare Munawar’s personal life and said that whatever one does in life, he/she should never do two-timing. However, some people stoop down to have five or six affairs even after marriage and kids. A taxi should never compare itself with a supercar. Anurag further uploaded a tweet and taunted Munawar’s personal life. In his words:
“Jo kuch bhi ho zindagi mei, two-timing maat kariyo. Who toh 5-6 timing kaar raha hai who bhi shaadi ke baad. Shaadi ke baad toh bilkul maat kariyo two timing aur bache hone ke baad toh bilkul bhi nahi. Lekin kuch log hai jo kaar sakte hai bache hone ke baad toh bilkul bhi nahi.”

This entire fiasco started when Munawar Faruqui, in his vlog, joked about ‘rider’ being his fan. It so happened that Munawar was travelling via taxi, and a bike rider came next to his widow and claimed to be a big fan of Munawar. To this, Munawar claimed that the ‘rider’ is his fan, and both of them have a good laugh about it.

On the professional front, Munawar Faruqui is concentrating on his music and comedy gigs. Apart from this, he was recently spotted in Kolkata along with actress, Hina Khan as the duo were shooting for an upcoming music video.
