The stand-up comedian and writer, Munawar Faruqui had won the janta over during his stint in the Kangana Ranaut-hosted show, Lock Upp. From showing his vulnerable side to the world to impressing everyone with his kindness, warmth and charming antics, Munawar is the well-deserved winner of the show. Moreover, it was his romantic camaraderie with Tik Tok sensation, Anjali Arora inside the house which had made headlines.
By looking at their magical chemistry, netizens guessed that Munawar and Anjali would make their relationship official after coming out of the Lock Upp jail. However, in turn of events, Munawar posted his secret girlfriend, Nazila’s pictures the second he stepped out of the show. Leaving Anjali heartbroken and their fans in utter shock, the comedian had revealed that he had been dating Nazila for a year. Now, the reports suggest that the two have broken up.

According to a report in Bombay Times, a source close to Munawar and Nazila have revealed that they have parted ways. Moreover, the source shared that the estranged couple has also unfollowed each other on Instagram. It is being speculated that the reason behind their sudden break up is Munawar’s closeness towards his Lock Upp co-contestant, Anjali Arora. The source can be quoted as saying:
"The two have called it quits. Recently they decided to not be together anymore. They have also unfollowed each other on Instagram and other social media platforms."
Earlier, when Munawar had made an official announcement of his relationship with Nazila with their cutesy pictures, many people had questioned why he kept his relationship a secret. In an interview with ETimes, Munawar was asked the reason behind not announcing it on national television. To which, he had stated:
"I’ve known Nazila for a year now and we have been dating for a few months. The situation inside the house was not right to talk about Nazila. As I was locked up and she was outside, I refrained from revealing her identity. In our lives, there are certain aspects that we are protective about. I don’t think it is wrong to be protective of your loved ones. The moment I came out, I posted her picture."

In one of the episodes of Lock Upp, while speaking ill about Munawar to Saisha, Poonam had said that he hid the truth about his marriage and kid from all of the contestants so that he could romance a 21-year-old, Anjali. She also warned Saisha not to get trapped in Munawar's plans. Elaborating her thoughts, Poonam had said:
"Aur yeh...Munawar. Usko bachata rehta hai. Apni shaadi chupa ke 21 saal ki ladki ko pata raha hai. Yeh fact hai. It's the truth and tereko atka ke rakha hai."
