Munawar Faruqui lifted the trophy of Bigg Boss 17 and won hearts with his honest game. His personal life was made fun of, and he even had a mental breakdown inside the BB house. Most of all, it was Munawar's camaraderie with Mannara Chopra that grabbed many eyeballs. Time and again, we witnessed that Mannara was head-over-heels in awe of Munawar, but their bond was impacted after their exit from the show.
On February 6, 2024, Abhishek Kumar threw a reunion party for all his friends from BB17 in Mumbai. In one of the videos from the same, Bigg Boss 17 winner, Munawar Faruqui was seen laughing, hugging and giggling with Abhishek in front of the paps. When the shutterbugs asked Abhishek about his music video with Mannara, Munawar was seen jokingly teasing him. Not just this, Munawar complemented the song and said:
“Bahut sara pyaar aur badhayiyaan bhai ko.”

As Abhishek Kumar showed the music video poster to the paparazzi, they asked Munawar if there was a possibility of a collaboration between him and Mannara. Addressing the duo as 'Munara', the paps said, “Sab Munara ke liye wait kar rahe hai... What do you have to say?” Reacting to the same, the stand-up comedian said:
“Haan toh wait hee karne do. Woh wait hee rahegi.”

Recently, Munawar Faruqui took a dig at Mannara Chopra as she called herself 'BB 17 winner in the female category'. A video of Munawar went viral online, wherein he jokingly shared that Aoora was the winner in the NRI category, while Navid Sole was the runner-up in the NRI category. The BB17 winner also added that Ankita Lokhande was a winner in the wife category, while Vicky Jain bagged the first position in the husband category. He was heard saying:
"Bigg Boss mein Aoora ko jante ho vo winner the NRI category mein. Aur Navid runner up NRI mein. Ankita wife category mein winner thi. Husband category mein Vicky bhai."

On January 31, 2024, Mannara Chopra was spotted by the paparazzi as she stepped out in the city. In a video that surfaced on social media, a paparazzo was heard telling Mannara about Munawar's party and asked her if she would be attending it. However, she stated that neither she was aware of the party nor she was invited. Mannara's statement came as a shock to everyone and ignited rumours of the possible rift between her and Munawar.

After her exit from Bigg Boss 17, in an interview with The Times Of India, Mannara Chopra opened up about her bond with Munawar Faruqui and called him family and a true friend. However, Mannara was shocked to learn that Munawar revealed that he had felt uncomfortable when she kissed him. Mannara also expressed her discomfort and demanded a public apology from Munawar for his weird comment about her. She was quoted as saying:
"Oh my god! It's a weird statement. There's no footage like this. I don't know in what context he said that, but if he has, he needs to apologise to me publically."
