On the recent Shukravaar Ka Vaar episode, Munawar Faruqui opened up about his mother's death when he was just 13 years old. The 31-year-old rapper also said their family had so much debt that he was forced to leave school and start working instead. Munawar added that although the loan was just Rs. 3500, it felt like a huge sum to pay at that time. Speaking about his food habits back then, Munawar revealed that he ate only chapatis with daal during his childhood. Moreover, if salan rice were prepared for dinner, there would not be a third food item.
Earlier, when Munawar appeared on the reality TV show, Lock Upp, he talked about his family and his late mother. Talking about his regret of not being with his mother in her difficult time, Munawar revealed:
“My mom made chaklis (a savoury snack) etc. to run our household but things were very different with my father and grandmom. My mom did not get respect in that house. My entire family blamed her for my sister's marriage. My mom had a debt of Rs. 3,500. I still regret why I did not sleep with her, why I didn't reach there earlier and why I did not have Rs. 3,500 at the time.”
