Sanjay Gagnani and Poonam Preet tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony on November 28, 2021, and have ever since shed major couple goals. However, in recent days, the internet has been buzzing with speculations of the duo heading for divorce. And now, in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Sanjay divulged more on the matter.
For the uninitiated, Sanjay became a household name for portraying the role of Prithvi in Ekta Kapoor's popular serial, Kundali Bhagya. He has also been part of serials like Naagin, Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka, Hamari Devrani, Hamari Saas Leela, and many more. However, this time around, the ace actor is in the news for his personal life and professional life.

Sanjay Gagnani recently sat for an interview with the Hindustan Times, where he revealed that after reading the rumours about his divorce, he went numb for a few hours as he did not know how to react. He was worried about his wife, Poonam's reaction, but she understood that rumours are a part of the glamour industry. He cleared the air and stated that they are not getting divorced. In Sanjay's words:
"When I first read about it, I was numb for a few hours because I didn't know how to react. I love my wife and I was only worried about how it would affect her. Thankfully, she is an actor herself, so she understands such rumours are a part and parcel of being a part of this industry. We just said, 'we both know that we are with each other, and we love each other. So, we don't care what the world has to say about us', and then we started ignoring it all."
Sanjay further added that he and his wife are going strong, and they love each other a lot. They are not bothered about what the world thinks of them and have decided to ignore it all. For the unaware, Poonam is also an actress, and their divorce rumours started when it was reported that the duo had consulted divorce lawyers. Sanjay added:
"When I read that, I laughed out loud and immediately got back to my work. Me and Poonam are too strong to get affected by any of it. We are both actors, so she understands."
