Dhurandhar 2's 'Real Jameel Jamali,' Nabil Gabol Vows To Make Sequel Post Being Trolled, 'Proper..'

Dhurandhar 2, also known as Dhurandhar the Revenge, has been all the rage among cinephiles thanks to its well-crafted plot, unexpected twists, background scores as well as the amazing performances from the star-studded cast. The movie was released on March 18, 2026, just a couple of months after the first part of Aditya Dhar's directorial, which was released at the end of last year, on December 5, 2025. It is worth noting that ever since the second part's release, one character who has been getting the most attention from the film is Rakesh Bedi's ‘Jameel Jamali.' Amid this, a Pakistani politician, Nabil Gabol, who believes the character is based on him, claimed he will make his own movie to counter the alleged lies portrayed in Dhurandhar 2.

In a recent interview with a content creator, Pakistani politician, Nabil Gabol claimed that the character ‘Jameel Jamali' whom we see in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2, is actually based on him. According to him, this is because he was the MNA of Lyari at the time. When questioned about how ‘Jameel Jamali' was revealed to be a Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) officer, Nabil claimed that, without resorting to such tactics, India is incapable of fighting Pakistan on the battlefield. He believes that since India cannot fight Pakistan or the Pakistani Army, they have created a movie instead. In his words: 

“The truth is that they cannot fight Pakistan or the Pakistani Army, so they created a movie instead. Through this, they have made Lyari internationally famous. The people of Lyari do not care; they are very strong. They used a comedian, Rakesh Bedi, to play my role and portrayed him as Nabil Gabol. Rakesh Bedi later claimed, 'No, I didn't just base it on Nabil Gabol; I made it a general depiction of all Pakistani politicians'. However, in 2007, the MNA of Lyari was Nabil Gabol.” 

Nabil even addressed the trolling he has been facing ever since Dhurandhar 2's release, asking why he has gone silent. To this, he said that he will give a powerful response in the same way that the Pakistani Army had responded to India. He added, “Just as six of your planes were shot down, I will also give you a proper answer regarding what Lyari actually is.” Following this, Nabil went on to proclaim that he will make a Dhurandhar 3, although instead of calling it that, he will call it Lyari Ka Gabbar.  

What had Nabil Gabol said after the release of Dhurandhar last year? 

This is not the first time that Nabil Gabol has expressed his displeasure with ‘Jameel Jamali's' character. Even when Dhurandhar was released last year in December 2025, he was not satisfied with his alleged portrayal. When he was asked by the media if he would seek the international forum's help to put a ban on Dhurandhar, a film which has been criticised by many Pakistani netizens for “tarnishing the country's image,” Nabil's answer was pretty shocking. The former MNA claimed that he actually did not have the funds to do so, although this did not stop him from criticising the film, especially his own alleged depiction. He said: 

“Jo mera role dikhaya gaya hai, mera role bahut dabbang tha, or dabbang iss tareeke se tha ki inhone mere role ko sahi tareeke se nahi dikhaya.”
