Naga Chaitanya was earlier married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but they parted ways in 2021 after four years of marriage. Now, Chaitanya has moved on in his life and got engaged to actress, Sobhita Dhulipala, in an intimate ceremony on August 8, 2024. While the couple has not revealed their wedding plans yet, if reports are to be believed, Chay and Sobhita have shortlisted their possible wedding dates and narrowed down on the wedding venue.
According to several reports in Telugu outlets, including News18 Telugu, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala could get married at the end of the year. Otherwise, the duo might exchange their vows in March 2025. The report further added that though Chay and Sobhita haven't finalised a wedding venue, their first preference is Rajasthan, and they are also looking at destinations in Madhya Pradesh and even abroad.

It was on August 8, 2024, when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala broke the internet with their sudden engagement. Taking to X, Nagarjuna dropped two pictures from the intimate ceremony and penned a heartfelt note along with it. The loving father shared that the duo's engagement took place at 9:42 am and revealed the significance of the date 8.8.8. Nagarjuna also welcomed Sobhita into their family and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness. He wrote:
"We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna was asked about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's wedding date. Responding to it, the superstar stated that the duo had a hurried engagement as August 8 was an auspicious day. He added that Chay and Sobhita have decided to marry each other, and the family has agreed, but there is no rush. He was quoted as saying:
