Naga Chaitanya has been leading the headlines ever since reports claiming that he walked out of a theatre playing his ex-wife's upcoming film's trailer launch video surfaced online. For the unversed, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu got separated in 2021 and announced their divorce the following year. Samantha, who has been undergoing treatments for the autoimmune disease, myositis, will be next seen in her upcoming film, Kushi, co-starring Vijay Deverakonda.
In an interview with Times Now, Naga Chaitanya opened up about the reports of him walking out of the theatre after Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film, Kushi's trailer got played. Reacting to the same, the actor clarified that the reports were ‘utter rubbish’ and said that he had already requested the media portals to correct them. In his words:
"It is utter rubbish. Some Telugu websites started this rumour. I have already requested them to correct the article."

Well, not just this, even a source close to Naga Chaitanya also told the same entertainment portal that the rumours might have been planted by the Kushi team to grab attention. Claiming that the film has so far generated zero traction, the source added:
"I wouldn't be surprised if this sordid story has been planted by the Kushi team, considering the film has so far generated zero traction."
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda have left everyone in a meltdown, and their fans are already loving their chemistry in the upcoming film, Kushi. Amidst that, a report in BollywoodLife claimed that Naga Chaitanya went to attend some other film's premiere, and as soon as Kushi's trailer was played, he walked out of the theatre. The report further added that Chaitanya was disinterested in the trailer, so he walked out of the theatre during the intermission.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently confirmed her break from acting to take care of her health. Taking to her IG handle on July 13, 2023, Samantha shared a picture of herself with the filmmaker duo, Raj and DK, as well as screenwriter, Sita Menon. Along with the post, Samantha penned a caption talking about her hiatus from acting. Expressing her views about the same, she added that taking a break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all and penned:
“A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me... I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud... Thank you for the role of a lifetime... i.e until you write me the next.”
Earlier, in an interview with Zoom TV, Samantha Ruth Prabhu talked about her divorce from Naga Chaitanya and shared how dark those days were for her. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she had the darkest thoughts during her divorce, but she decided not to destroy herself through them. Sharing how she tried to escape that dark phase, Samantha added:
"I was in a very, very dark place during the toughest times of this condition. You name it, I had the most darkest thoughts. And then I realised that I’m not going to do anything about these dark thoughts. If I’m not going to let it destroy me, it means that I’m going to have to start putting one step forward. And every day after that, I took it one step at a time, and I’ve had amazing people, family and close friends, who’ve stood by me every single day."
