Tollywood’s once power couple, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are once again leading all the headlines after Chaitanya addressed their relationship and divorce in a recent interview. The handsome actor called his divorce ‘unfortunate’ and stated that both he and Samantha have moved on in their respective life.
In a promotional interview for his bilingual film, Custody, Naga Chaitanya got candid about his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and the quality he likes the most in her. Sharing how Samantha is a go-getter, Naga stated:
“Samantha… go-getter, hard worker. Her determination is amazing. If she wants something, she will go get it.”

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce often hit the spotlight, and many rumours about the couple’s hatred towards each other also dominate the headlines. During the promotional interview, Naga not just heaped praises on Samantha’s qualities but also revealed the names of her recent films he likes the most and mentioned Oh Baby! and the show Family Man 2 as his favourites.
Post Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their separation, there had been a lot of noise on what went wrong in their marriage. From speculations about Chaitanya’s family objecting to Samantha’s bold roles to Samantha's unwillingness to have a baby, many stories were churned out. While talking to Behindwoods TV, Chaitanya talked about the same and raised his concern about people poking their noses in their personal life.

The actor also revealed that the duo had been granted divorce a year back and are focused on their respective lives. Stating that the topic is over, Chaitanya stated:
“Whatever happened was unfortunate. But each one has moved on to their own path. We got divorced almost a year back. The court has given us mutual consent we both got divorced. So I don’t understand why people poking that topic again and again. The topic is over, I wish people move on from the topic and have huge respect. I don’t have regrets or anything, I have huge respect for my past, it has taught me so much, and there are no regrets at all. I request that please stop poking the topic and move on.”
It was in 2017 when Samantha and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot as per Hindu and Christian rituals. However, in 2021, rumours started cropping in that the power couple of Tollywood was having troubles in their marriage. And finally, four days before their fourth wedding anniversary, Samantha and Chaitanya released an official statement about ending their marriage, leaving their massive fanbase shattered.
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya will be next seen in the film, Custody!
