Nail Artist Re-Creates Diljit Dosanjh's Debut 'Met Gala 2025' Look On A Nail Extension, Fans In Awe

Diljit Dosanjh is a famous Punjabi singer-actor across the world. For his one glimpse, people buy expensive tickets, and he has been making India proud with his concerts across the world. Recently, he made his debut at MET Gala 2025, and oh boy, he again made the soil of his state, Punjab, super proud of him. While people avoid wearing their ethnicity at such events and try to gel in with the crowd, Diljit stood as he tried to replicate the aura of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. Now, a nail artist re-created his look over a nail extension, and it was no less than a marvel.

A nail artist re-created Diljit Dosanjh's MET Gala 2025

On May 10, 2025, a nail artist, re-created Diljit Dosanjh's debut look from MET Gala 2025 over a nail extension. It was praise-worthy art as he precisely worked with the gel nail lacquer to create the portrait of Diljit's look over a nail extension. He even added a turban and Diljit's emerald jewellery, which was an ode to Maharaja of Patiala's neckpiece.

Diljit Dosanjh made his much-awaited MET Gala debut in 2025. He wore a Nepalese-American designer, Prabal Gurung. He paid tribute to Patiala's Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. Diljit was dressed up in a majestic ivory-toned sherwani. He wore it with a matching cape featuring an intricate golden embroidery with Punjab's map and Gurumukhi text. He completed his look with a turban and radiated the Maharaja vibes.

For the unversed, Prabal Gurung has earlier styled Alia Bhatt, Isha Ambani, Deepika Padukone and Demi Lovato, among many others. In a video by Vogue India, Diljit's stylist, Sohail Mughal, revealed that there was no margin for error while designing the royal look for the singer's debut at the MET Gala. The stylist, Sohail Mughal, revealed that they wanted to keep the details of the project under wraps. He was quoted as saying:

"Recognizing the enormity of the responsibility, we quickly brought in @pitambarabymanisha, a close friend and remarkable designer. Initially, we kept the project details under wraps, but when we finally revealed who we were working with, Manisha enthusiastically responded in her characteristic style, 'Kar denge ji!'—assuring us with humor and confidence that she’d make it happen. Her profound understanding of Punjabi culture and heritage made her an indispensable part of our team."

Diljit Dosanjh was denied Maharaja of Patiala's necklace weighing 1000 carats by Cartier 

Earlier, in an interview with the New York Times, Diljit Dosanjh's stylist, Sohail Mughal, revealed that the singer's MET Gala look was an ode to the Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh. However, the singer also wanted to borrow the diamond necklace weighing 1000 carats for the event, which was first commissioned by the Maharaja in 1928 by Cartier. However, they claimed that they could not lend him the necklace as it was sealed in a museum. After which, they had to contact an Indian jeweller to create jewellery inspired by the Maharaja’s glorious collection.

For the unversed, in 2022, American YouTuber Emma Chamberlain came dressed up in a pristine white skirt and styled it with a camel-hued ruffle detailing crop top featuring full sleeves. The Met Gala 2022's theme was America: An Anthology of Fashion. While Emma's outfit was simple and stunning, it was her diamond choker that left everyone's jaws dropped.
