Naomi has visited India several times and has worn Sabyasachi and Manish Malhotra’s designs. Talking about dressing Naomi for Vogue India’s March-April cover, Sabyasachi stated:
“Naomi’s presence—be it on the ramp, in music videos and campaigns, or even in Madonna’s controversial book Sex (1992)—remains timeless and memorable. She is a global icon, so it’s always special to work with someone like her.”
Do you know that Naomi once wore a saree from the shelves of Sabyasachi? Talking about the same, the ace designer recalled how he dressed Naomi in a black saree, and she did complete justice to it. In his words:
“I was approached by IMG to dress Naomi in one of my outfits, and for an icon like her, there’s nothing more iconic than the sari. The strength, beauty and power of her presence fit perfectly with a glamorous black sari.”

“I love wearing a sari. I’ve worn them hundreds of times whenever I’ve come to India and I will always wear one whenever I come to the country.”
Naomi is responsible for bringing diversity to the world of fashion and has also guided models to find a foothold in the fashion industry. Sharing breathtaking pictures of the supermodel, Vogue termed her iconic and captioned the pictures as:
“Iconic. That’s the one-word definition of the original supermodel. #NaomiCampbell has been the cycle-breaker for diversity on the runway, not to mention the 66 plus Vogue covers that make up a quarter of her editorial legacy.”
Naomi has been an inspiration to many, and her journey to the runway in the 90s had only made history. Be it her striking looks or captivating walk, the stunner never failed to impress her fans. She played muse to the likes of Yves Saint Laurent and Azzedine Alaia. At the age of 18, Naomi became the first Black model to feature on a French Vogue cover.
