In a piece of heartbreaking news, veteran actress, Navnindra Behl passed away in her sleep on March 16, 2026. She was 76 at the time of her demise and has left fans from the entertainment industry in a state of sadness. Now, amid this, Navnindra's second last Instagram post has gone viral on social media. It was an anniversary post dedicated to her late husband, Lalit Behl. The actress has done work in Punjabi cinema, did a few Bollywood movies and made an impression on the minds of her fans with her cult classic role in Ishqbaaaz.
Navnindra Behl's exact cause of demise has not yet been revealed. However, a look at her Instagram handle will showcase that her second last Instagram post was dedicated to her late husband, Lalit Behl. It was during their wedding anniversary that Navnindra had posted an unseen picture with Lalit. The picture was all things wholesome, as Navnindra and Lalit were candidly looking, not right into the camera lens. In her caption, Navnindra, expressing love for Lalit, had written:
"Happy anniversary Lalit. Miss you."

Netizens in the comments section wrote, 'Rest in peace,' mam, and a user even wrote, "Kaash aisa phir ho jaye, ek tasveer dusre pose main le sakoon." However, it was Nakuul Mehta's post that captured the audience's hearts. Well, Lalit's demise in 2021 had left a deep void in her heart. According to reports on social media, Lalit had passed away due to COVID-19-related complications, and his demise had left a deep void in the heart of Navnindra.

The actor has shared screenspace with Navnindra in Ishqbaaaz and shared an emotional tribute for her. In his note, Nakuul wrote about the beauty of long-running television shows, which sometimes gives one the opportunity to spend time with people who may have existed in worlds very different from the one that exists. In his words:
"And then, almost magically, they end up shaping a significant part of who you were during those years. And long after the experience ends, some of what they stood for continues to find a home within you. We spent so many days sharing a set floor and many lunches over the three years we worked together on Ishqbaaaz. I’d often complain about the boring sabzis (read: lauki, karela) she’d bring, and she would continue to insist that we try her food. She didn’t give up. I never gave in."

Nakuul Mehta further shared that the earliest memory he has of Navnindra is of him filming his very first scene with her on Ishqbaaaz at around midnight in Turbhe. A solemn moment between the matriarch and her grandson was shot. Nakuul further revealed that something about Navnindra's presence made one feel so present in every scene. The actor expressed on how the late veteran actress liked practising her scenes. In her words:

"She liked rehearsals. So did I. It was a match written in the stars. I say so because in television, rarely do you have the discipline and mostly the time… for multiple rehearsals. She came from the rich tradition of Punjabi theatre. She wrote, directed and produced in her time, but never for once brought that heft onto set. She had more years in the business than the entire ensemble put together, but may have been the lightest co-actor to work with. Only sometimes complaining about the crazy schedules of television."
Rest in peace, Navnindra Behl.
