Navya Nanda has been one such star kid in the entertainment block, who has managed to cement her name differently, away from the glares of media scrutiny. The young entrepreneur has followed the footsteps of her father and made a career in business. Apart from her individual identity, Navya is also recognised as the granddaughter of extremely talented actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Courtesy of her self-made podcast, What The Hell Navya, the lady often creates headlines with the bold topics, she discusses with her family members. And recently, she spoke about the key learnings she received from her grandparents.
In a recent interaction with India Today, Navya Nanda reflected on the dynamics she shares with her grandparents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Speaking about the former, Navya remarked how she beholds him as an enigmatic persona, full of wisdom and knowledge about life. She spoke about Big B’s unfathomable experiences, both in life and work, and remarked how she is a keen observer of the same. Navya revealed:

“I'm always learning from him. He's somebody who has so much knowledge and so much experience. More than teaching, I just want to listen and try to take in as much as I can because there's so much that he has to offer. If I can take in even one or two percent of that and apply it to my life, then, I can do half or even a quarter of what he's managed to do. So, I'm always listening and observing him.”

Speaking along the same context, Navya Nanda then opened up about the traits she wants to imbibe from her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. She remarked that not just her nani, but like her mother too, she wishes to be unapologetically vocal about whatever she has in her mind. Furthermore, Navya highlighted the necessity of standing up for the right things and be bold about them without any hesitation. In her words:
“Not just my grandmother, but even my mother and I are both unapologetically vocal about what we feel. We really like voicing our opinion and standing up for what we believe is right. We all stand up for what matters to us without hesitation and I feel that's passed onto me from both my mother and my grandmother.”
In an earlier interaction with Aditya Bhatt on his YouTube channel, Navya Nanda decoded how she came up with the successful idea of having her own podcast. She recalled that it all began back during the time of the pandemic, when she used to have meaningful and poignant conversations with her mother, Shweta Bachchan and grandmother, Jaya Bachchan at home. From what started as random and mundane topics of conversation gradually evolved into essential matters, which was abundantly left unsaid. Thus, Navya stated, it led to her mind to start her own podcast, wherein she would be able to find answers of all such undeciphered questions.

Previously, during her appearance on the show, Kiska Brand Bajega, Navya Nanda revealed what she as a granddaughter had taught her nana, Amitabh Bachchan. While the latter is surely a reservoir of learning himself, Navya instead taught him the ways of the new world, such as using social media, television and music, as well as matters of gender equality. She explained:
“I have introduced him to a lot of things that young people are into. For instance, music, social media, TV shows etc. He also strongly feels about the causes that I am working for and believes in the message of gender equality, too.”
