Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Nawab talked about his muse, Pooja, and stated, "One has to be ready to experience something like this, and I guess, Pooja and I were in that space. It was as if we were destined to be together. We didn’t want to think about it too much and delay it (marriage) any further. Both of us have gone through various phases in life and have matured over the years. When I reconnected with her, a relationship wasn’t on my mind. However, at this stage in life, you feel the void of not having a companion. Pooja entered my life like sunshine and I was sure that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. In fact, I wanted to marry her right after our first meeting." (Also Read: Bakhhtyar Irani's Tattoo Of Wife, Tanazz Irani's Face On His Back Will Completely Blow Your Mind)
Nawab further talked about how love brewed between the two, and shared, "Pooja is a lovely soul and a great person, and that’s important to me. Romance happens on its own and is an organic process. We are on the same wavelength and are alike. We had no doubts about the relationship or each other, which is rare in today’s day and age. We connected so beautifully, that everything came together for us."
Talking about their hush-hush wedding, Nawab said, "We hadn’t planned anything. We were just ready to start a life together and grow together. There was no point in wasting any time and that’s why it happened suddenly. In fact, I tell her that we have less time together as we took some time to get married. I am glad that everything fell in place."

Earlier, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Pooja had also talked about their wedding and had revealed, "Nawab and I exchanged vows in Delhi, with only our families in attendance. Our loved ones kept asking us why we were delaying it (the marriage). I was simply going with the flow, but then I realised that he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, and there is no point in delaying it any further. So, here we are. We had an Arya Samaj wedding, and we will register our marriage this week."
She had further added, "I knew of Nawab by virtue of being in the same profession. However, we strongly connected after we were reintroduced by a common friend in February this year. I guess we reconnected at the right time in our life. We were in the same space emotionally and hit it off instantly."
Every girl dreams of a special proposal and so did Pooja. In the same interview, she had shared how Nawab popped the question, "During the initial days of our relationship, there was this one time when he came to pick me up at the airport, and according to him, he wanted to pop the question right then. However, he got nervous and dropped the idea (laughs!). He was ready to propose to me soon after we met. Eventually, he proposed to me in Delhi, and again when he came to meet my parents with his family."
