After winning the competition, the winner told India Today that although he had simple dreams, this win fulfilled all his goals.

He also explained how the judge, Vikas Khanna helped him since the audition and how happy his father is, who was once against the idea of Nayanjyoti being a chef. "I had a simple dream and that was to go to MasterChef India and cook, but now I feel like all my goals in life are complete. I had my self-doubts, but the three judges motivated us so much, especially Chef Vikas Khanna who has helped me so much since the day of the auditions. The biggest thing is that my father is the happiest of them all; he was against the idea of seeing me cook but today, this achievement makes it all worth it."
The winner is from a small village in Assam's Tinsukia. He was born on March 12, 1997, and is of 26 years now.
