Nayanthara, the lady superstar of the South Indian film industry, had got married to the love of her life, director, Vignesh Shivan on June 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in Mahabalipuram as per South Indian rituals. The couple had looked adorable in their respective attires as Nayanthara had made a statement in a vermillion coloured saree and Vignesh had donned a signature veshti, kurta and shawl.
On May 10, 2022, Nayanthara along with her husband, Vignesh Shivan had made their first appearance post-wedding as they had headed to Tirumala Tirupati to seek blessings. Nayanthara had looked gorgeous in a yellow-coloured saree while Vicky had opted for a cream-coloured shirt and veshti as they had walked hand-in-hand.

However, Nayanthara and Vignesh’s appearance at the Tirupati shrine has landed the actress in a controversy. She was accused of roaming around the temple premises without removing her footwear. As per the Chief Vigilance Security officer, Tirumala Tirupati Desvasthanam Board, Narasimha Kishore, Nayanthara was accused of walking the streets of Mada Streets wearing her footwear. He also added that the couple did a photo shoot at the temple premises which is against the rules. Talking about the same, he said:
“She is seen roaming with footwear in Mada Streets. Our security immediately reacted. We have also noticed on CCTV that they did a photoshoot there.”

He further added that the board has spoken to the actress about the same and she will apologise by releasing a video to the press. In his word:
“We are serving notices to Nayanatara. We have also spoken to her and she wanted to release a video to press apologising to Lord Balaji, TTD and pilgrims. However, we are going to serve notices to her.”

After tying the knot with his ladylove, Vignesh had taken to his Twitter handle and had posted the first picture from their dreamy wedding. In the picture, Vignesh was seen giving a peck to Nayanthara on her forehead after the wedding rituals, while she had looked nothing less than a princess. Along with the picture, Vignesh had tweeted:
“On the scale of 10, She's Nayan and am the one. With God's grace, the Universe, all the blessings of our parents and best of friends. Just married #Nayanthara."
On the professional front, Nayanthara will be next seen in the film, Jawan along with Shah Rukh Khan.
