The elated father, who was on top of the world after his little princess’s birth, announced her arrival with an ‘awwdorable’ tweet which read:

“She has arrived and words fall short to express our happiness. Thank you for all your wishes.”

Here, have a look at the tweet:

The happiness the new dad was experiencing was quite visible in these few words.

Now the little one’s grandma, actress Neelima Azim has expressed her joy on the birth of the baby. She recently gave an interview to a leading daily, where she poured out her happiness with these words:

“This baby is my firstborn’s firstborn and the first grandchild in the family. I wanted a granddaughter. I am on top of the world.”

Awww, that is so sweet. Lucky you, Neelima, for your wish came true.

She further added:

“We would have been happy to have either a boy or a girl. But as I have two sons, I wanted it to be a girl. Bachchi ke kadam ghar mein pade hai, main bahut khush hoon (a little girl has come to our house, and I am very happy). We are all so blessed with God almighty’s kindness. We are all very joyous.”

This is exactly the kind of fervor a child’s birth brings to the family. The newborn comes into the lives of his/her family members and spreads a smile on even the saddest of faces. A child’s smile can melt even a heart made of stone, it is said.

Neelima could clearly not curtail her excitement there. She went on to talk about her son Shahid, his reactions after becoming a dad, and how wonderful she thinks he is at being a husband and father.

She said:

“His happiness is out of this world. He is taking such good care of his little daughter already. While some men might shy away or hesitate to hold babies, he is very good. He is like a pro, a veteran. He has been taking care of Mira very well. He makes a great husband and a wonderful dad."

This one melts her heart. We always knew that Sasha is a great husband, with all the cute selfies he posed for with his young wife, the way he took care of her during the pregnancy and pretty much the way he is with her. Now, we are all the more glad to have it confirmed from his mommy that he is not only a loving husband, but a very caring father too. We love you for all these things, Shahid.

Neelima also told the daily about how thrilled her younger son, Ishaan Khattar was to become an uncle. She said:

“Ishaan was the youngest in the family. But now there is a younger person for him to take care of. This is a new phase in his life.”

We totally understand your excitement, Ishaan. It is a beautiful feeling to become a chachu, mamu, bua or maasi to a little one.

When asked about what the little one has been named, this is what the proud grandmum had to say:

“That’s for the parents to tell. It’s their privilege.”

We are sure the beautiful couple must have thought of a beautiful name for their little princess. We hope to know it from them soon. Congratulations, Shahid and Mira! We are really happy for you two, and your little girl. We hope the mommy and daughter are healthy, and doing well. May the family be a happy and blessed one always.
