Neena Gupta is one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood. She has had a fair share of struggles in her personal life, but she overcame them with much confidence. Neena is a strong and independent lady, who often garners the limelight for her controversial life choices, and she often gives poignant life lessons. However, in a recent conversation, Neena refused to give any dating advice and revealed the reason behind it.
In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, Neena Gupta opened up about going to couple therapy once and revealed that she and her husband, Vivek Mehra had a lot of problems in their marriage initially. She further shed light on the importance of a healthy talk and said:
“I went to therapy once. When I met my now husband, he was already married and with kids, so there were a lot of problems. So, one time we went to couple’s therapy. It is healthy to talk, even if it is to yourself. I can talk to a wall also.”

When the host asked Neena Gupta to give relationship advice to her fans, the actress immediately refused. Taking a dig at her own love life, she said that she has always dated the wrong people, so she wouldn't be the right person for advice. Neena added that she would give a stupid and bad answer and said:
“I am the wrong person to give relationship advice. I have always dated wrong people. Please don’t ask me because I will give a very stupid and bad answer.”
Neena Gupta's daughter, Masaba Gupta, tied the knot with Madhu Mantena in 2015, but their marriage ended in 2019. Later, Masaba married actor, Satyadeep Mishra on January 27, 2023. Talking about Masaba's love life, Neena Gupta shared that she made a mistake by marrying her daughter to Madhu Mantena, and revealed that she was numb for a month when Masaba parted ways with her first husband. She said:
“Masaba didn’t want to marry initially. She wanted to stay in a live-in relationship with her future husband. But I was like, 'No, you will not shift with him. You get married.’ It was a mistake, they separated. I was devastated, I never imagined this because my husband and I both loved and still love her ex-husband. He is a really nice man and nahi bani toh nahi bani. When she told me, I was numb for a month. It was a very difficult time. It’s not in your hands, this is somebody’s else’s life.”

Neena Gupta is an inspiration to many as her life was nothing like a bed of roses, and she had to deal with a lot of criticism and judgements for her decisions. The actress fell in love with West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards, and got pregnant with their first child, Masaba Gupta, out of wedlock. She broke stereotypes by raising her baby alone, back in the day when being a single mom was a taboo. Neena Gupta has always been vocal about her personal life, and she is proud of raising her daughter, Masaba as a single mother.
