So, when she embraced grandparenthood, it was only natural for her to have a unique perspective. Recently, in a candid conversation with ANI, Neena Gupta revealed that she doesn’t feel like a grandmother and has asked her granddaughter, Matara, to call her by name instead of the traditional naani. The actress shared:

Neena Gupta’s daughter, Masaba Gupta gave love another chance with actor, Satyadeep Mishra, after her previous failed marriage to film producer, Madhu Mantena. The film, starring Mihir Ahuja and Australian singer, Guy Sebastian, explores intergenerational language barriers within the migrant community. Neena will play the role of a sharp-witted grandmother who is also a music teacher in India. Describing the project, Neena said:
“It is an emotional and very real story that people will connect with, and it has a major part in the movies, the music, and that's why we have Guy (Sebastian) who is playing his father. So it has a lot of beautiful music, it has a lot of emotions, and it is very real.”
