Neeraj Chopra And Wife, Himani Mor's Love Story Began With Casual Talks, 'Phir Dheere Dheere..'

India's top star athlete and Javelin hero, Neeraj Chopra, recently revealed unheard details about his love story with Himani Mor. On January 16, 2025, Neeraj married the love of his life, Himani, in a dreamy wedding ceremony. He had managed to keep his wedding details under wraps for the longest time but revealed that his family and friends were aware of it. Neeraj now shared unheard details of his love story with Himani that would make you go, 'aww'.

Neeraj Chopra reveals he and Himani Mor started talking casually

Neeraj, during an interview with India Today, shared that he had always known Himani and that both her parents have been Kabaddi players. Her brothers were boxers and wrestlers. She herself was a tennis player, but after picking up injuries, she focused more on her studies. Dwelling details about his love life, he shared that they engaged in conversations as both were athletes. In his words:

"Hamari baat waise hi start hui thi as an athelte. Toh phir dheere dheere woh bhi pura sports family se belong karte hai. Pura family sports background se hai aur mere start karne ke baad meri family sports family ban gayi. Aise hi family ka kahi milna hota tha kahi jagah pe, jaise unka hamari baat start hui thi dheere dheere phir aise laga ki haa."

Neeraj further revealed in the interview that as they were athletes, it was easy for them to develop an instant connection. He also credited their families as they had a sports background. Niraj and Himani started with the talking phase initially before gradually falling in love with one another.

Neeraj Chopra and Himani Mor's wedding had 40-50 guests

Neeraj and Himani's wedding took place at the breathtaking Surya Vilas Resort located in Kumarhatt, which is next to Solan right on the Kalka-Shimla Highway. The wedding of the couple was a dreamy and as well as intimate. The wedding attendee was only around 40-50 and it had family members of both Himani and Neeraj. Reportedly, the couple had personally selected the location for their special day. Neeraj had posted three dreamy pictures of the wedding that took place in Himachal. He had captioned the snaps as:

"Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after."

Was Neeraj Chopra and Himani Mor's marriage arranged?

Earlier, in an interview with The ndian Express, paternal uncle of Neeraj, Bhim, shared that their families arranged the marriage of Neeraj and Himani. He had shared that both families were there at the wedding. Bhim also emphasised that only Himani and Neeraj's family attended the wedding. However, Neeraj's close buddies knew he would be a married man soon and had also planned a function for the couple. Neeraj had to get back to training, so inviting everyone would have been a task.
