Veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor is all set for her second innings in the show biz with the movie, Jug Jug Jeeyo after the demise of her husband, the great actor, Rishi Kapoor. During a recent conversation about the movie and her equation with her kids, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Kapoor shared an interesting anecdote.

During a conversation with the Filmfare, Neetu Kapoor mentioned that she was an obsessed mother. So much so, that her friends thought she had become just too boring. Neetu Kapoor further mentioned that her kids' happiness was her first priority.
During the curse of the conversation, Neetu Kapoor recalled an adorable incident when Ranbir Kapoor took her for a Mother's Day lunch with only Rs 100 in his pocket. During those times, he had just started working as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black. Ranbir Kapoor took his mom, Neetu Kapoor, to a place called Just Eat Around The Corner. It served lunches for Rs 100. Neetu said, "And I was the proudest mother that day, as that was the first-ever lunch my son had taken me out for."
On the other hand, Neetu Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, gave her a much fancier treat. Riddhima was studying in London and picked up part-time jobs to make some money. Neetu Kapoor explained how she visited her during the vacations, and she (Riddhima) arranged a limousine along with a bottle of champagne to welcome her mom. In Neetu Kapoor's words, "I said Riddhima are you crazy, such a big champagne bottle at 11 am, she said no mom, I just wanted to do the best for you."

Ranbir Kapoor is thrilled to see his mom, Neetu Kapoor back on a movie set. Neetu Kapoor mentioned that she and Ranbir are complete movie buffs and they always discuss performances. She also said that she discusses all the movie offers and roles with Ranbir and he also does the same some times. Neetu further mentioned that Ranbir always makes his own decisions. She said, "But once in a while he also wants my take on the script. So, we have that relationship of movies, scripts, performances and now it’s become even better."

On April 10, 2021, Neetu Kapoor had shared a never-seen-before picture of her daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and son, Ranbir Kapoor, from their late father, Rishi Kapoor's prayer meets. In the picture, the brother-sister duo had twinned in black. The doting mother, Neetu Kapoor had given an important piece of advice to her children in her small note, which she had penned atop the photo, and it could be read as "Brothers and sisters are the best gift from your parents. Respect and love each other always #worldsiblingday."
Late actor, Rishi Kapoor’s autobiography, Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored, was released on 15 January 2017. In his candid demeanour, Rishi Kapoor had revealed in the book exactly when his wife, Neetu Kapoor had conceived their son, Ranbir Kapoor. Living up to the title of his autobiography, Mr Kapoor had written, “If I remember right, Neetu conceived Ranbir during this time, (the shooting of Prem Rog) when we were picturizing ‘Meri kismet mein tu nahi hai shayad’. It makes the song even more special for us.”
