Neha Kakkar Once Announced Breakup On Instagram, Post Surfaces Amid Her Cryptic Note On Relationship

Neha Kakkar is a famous Indian playback singer, known for giving her voice to hit Bollywood numbers and independent music. While she is the reigning queen of the music industry, her personal life often makes headlines. Last year, her very public rift with her elder sister, Sonu Kakkar, made headlines. Now, Neha shared a cryptic note on 'taking a break from work and relationship', but she soon deleted it. Amidst it, her Insta-Official breakup post from 2018 has resurfaced online.

In 2018, Neha Kakkar was in a relationship with Himansh Kohli, and the entire nation was aware of their romance, as they had featured in her song, 'Oh Humsafar'. However, within a few months, the sparks of love extinguished and what followed was a very public breakup. Neha unfollowed Himansh and deleted all their pictures together, which was proof enough that they had parted ways and it wasn't cordial. It was on December 12, 2018, when Neha shared a shocking cryptic note and shared that she didn't have any idea that people could be so bad in the world. She accepted that she is a celebrity and she should not write this, but she is a human too. Neha added that she was heartbroken and wrote:

"Mujhe Nahin Pata Tha Iss Duniya Mein Itne Bure Log Bhi Hain... Khair… Sab Kuch Gawaa Ke Hosh Mein Ab Aaye, Toh Kya Kiya… I Know I’m A Celeb, I’m Not Supposed To Write All This… But I’m A Human Being Too… And Aaj Kuch Zyada Hi Toot Gayi, Isliye Couldn’t Control My Feelings… Maine Apna Sab Kuch Diya, Aur Badle Mein Mila…. Can’t Even Share Kya Mila…"

In her note, Neha further added that she knew people would talk about her and judge her. They would say things which she had not even done. She added that celebrities have to keep two faces — personal and professional. No matter how bad their personal front is, they have to keep smiling in their professional life. She wrote:

"I Know Everybody’s Gonna Talk About It Now.. People Are Gonna Judge Me.. Pata Nahin Log Kya Bolenge.. Some People Are Gonna Say Things Which I Haven’t Even Done But Koi Nahin.. Mujhe Aadat Hogayi Hai Sab Sunne Ki… Sab Sehne Ki… Pata Hai Hum Celebrities Ke Do Chehre Hote Hain.. Ek Personal, Ek Professional. Personal Life Jitni Bhi Kharab Chal Rahi Ho, Professional Life Mein You’ll Always See Us Smiling!"

In June 2018, when Himansh behaved rudely with her, Neha penned another note. She shared that she had given him everything. She shared her people, contacts and even fans, and gave him her hard-earned fame, and in return, he forgot everything. However, she deleted it later.

Neha Kakkar's latest cryptic post on 'break'

On January 19, 2025, Neha shared two stories on her Instagram handle. In the first one, she shared that it was time for her to break from responsibilities, relationships and work. She added that she is not sure when she will be back. She wrote, "Time to take a break from Responsibilities, Relationships, Work and Everything I can think of right now. Not sure if I'll be back or not. Thank you."

In the next post, she requests photographers and fans not film her at all, and respect her privacy and let her live a free life. She added that she doesn't want any cameras following her, and this is the least they can do for her peace. However, within minutes, she deleted those IG stories. She left her fans curious as they wondered what went wrong with her.
